wouldn't put him on the wing or too close to the side-lines, he may roll up a note and have go......He had hankering for white lines didn't he???

a bit like todd Bryne hey ? He had a bit of a hankering for the old white line in the grand final didn't he?

Todd Byrne wasn't a drug addict that had to take the fall for the rest of the club and go into rehab.

He's just slow and useless and doesn't know how to step inside.
Pretty good call though carcharias. :D

Matt Seers has been in the uk for the last couple of years. And apparently he has just been on the booze heavily, i feel he could be quite out of shape

I hope he can add something to the team.
He is certainly better than Hassan Saleh.
But is he really better than Franze? :?

After Franzes abysmal PL performance last week, no wonder they want more outside back strength.
Apparently Franze lucky to hold is spot in PL.

I rate Seers.

Good player for us. Will be able to fill in on the wing, centres or fullback hell even 5/8. Great player if we could pick him up. Granted he wouldn't be as good as he was back in his prime but he is a very solid player to fill the gaps in the backline for us.

btw - The club tried hard to get Devere but he was never leaving Brisbane just bumping his price up

I thought it was pretty clear deano wasn't coming back because of the way he upset the board or something

Seers was pretty good for the WTs when he played for us.He is very quick, and tackles kamikaze style.A lot of people were amazed when we flicked him,me included.

His one issue is his temper. He is a hothead and gets mad when he cops it,got quite a few sin bins for his trouble. But if Raper stops all that he would be a very good buy IMHO.

Cheers.

He had a go at Sludge but Sludge knew it was just passion and wasnt too offended by it, also Barry Pierce had overseen his development from a very young age so I think Deano was close to him as well.

If anything the administrators were between a c.ock and a hard place (ie they had the choice of Chris Anderson or undermining him publicly) which is why he was sacked. I reckon they just havent picked him up again because they reckon he's over the hill.

Aaahh Matty Seers. Absolute Champion at the Bears until he Joined the Crack Boys Crew...Along with JT he managed snap Defeat from the Jaws of victory against Newy in 1997.... .

He'll be a good buy I reckon.

Yeah I reckon we're better off with him than without.

Wonder what Franze and Kent are thinking though, not to mention Simmons and the other youngens?

I still can't believe we bought Saleh and Seers and not a goal kicker. Unless Merritt is as good as I think he is.

Is Kent back yet?

fact is he is a decent player who adds to our depths in the backs incase of injuries or the boys not firing.

what other goal kickers are around?

Bird, Hilder and others can kick goals well but Kimmorley is doing it.

Foz, I think you raise an excellant point mate. I have been told by those close to Treister that the salary cap was the main issue of his non-return to the club. I have also been told by an ex-member of this forum that the "way" he left the club basically rubber stamped any chance he had of a return to the club.

Clearly with theses additional signings, its sounds as though that our ex-member was correct.

Wasn't the first warning given to Chris Anderson because of the Treister incident? By the Sharks not resigning Treister, it shows they supported the decision by Anderson to shaft Treister, so what was the basis of the warning?

If money is not the issue, then why didn't they sign Treister when he became available, it could have helped the Sharks in their fight against Chris Anderson.
