I'm in the same position Copper. I'm not going to fund Elliott's contract. If he gets sacked I will certainly go an donate money to the severance package.
I'm trying to get behind him this season and I do have hope he can get it together, now that he has his squad, but I'd also stab him in the back at a moments notice.

I'm also refusing to go to any home games in the near future. If he drops Brad Tighe, and promotes Wade Graham i will consider going... so long as he doesn't decide that it is time that Coote/Iosefa etc. get dropped. I refuse to support what he is doing to our team.

Maybe we could start one of those online petitions. I'm sure even fans of other clubs would be willing to sign it. A lot of other fans feel sorry for us being stuck with Matt Elliott.

Well, my approach isn't very popular with some supporters, but I have elected not to attend any home matches this season, and to

buy no merchandise. Voting on their decision to retain Elliot with my feet and wallet.

But doesnt that hurt the club more than elliot? Elliot doesnt get any money from crowd figures or gate receipts or merc sales, he gets paid on results. Whether the crowd is 0 or 20000 makes no difference. I doubt that would work and it only hurts the club. Just email the ceo constantly to voice your displeasure.

As much as I am pissed off with everything about Matt Elliott, I am still going to home matches this year - not many, but that's due to changes in lifestyle (for the better!) and not because of 'super coach'.

Voting with our feet won't mean a scrap of difference to management. Being 0 and 8 could, though...

hating elliott is one thing but
1.not going to games achieves
2.not buying merchandise achieves
3.not supporting the team achieves

answer .
no team left to support
Elliott is hired and fired based on his results this year.So far he is batting at 0 just be patient.the more you jump and down it deflects from the true story his results

I beg to differ. The club chose to continue with Matt Elliot for 2009 and whether you like it or not you should support him and the club. That is what being a supporter is all about. It is about the good and the bad. Let's judge Matt Elliot after round 10 or better still round 26 when we are looking forward to the semi's. It is very sad we have threads devoted to his demise after one round in 2009 despite what has happened in the past two years.

I will always support this team and will continue to do so, however Matty Elliot is beginning to frustrate me...

Maybe the problem isn't all Elliott? Maybe he is getting pressure from else where to drop and play certain people based on ego's trying to justify why they have spent the club's money the way they have.

I agree with Killkenny to a point. I think he deserves at least 6-8 rounds to see how we go.

If we are winless after 6-8 then punt him. Put Ivan Milat in charge on day release. At least we know Ivan has got some mungrel in him and a good imagination. He is also persistent. He keeps going when he gets a sniff of something.

Ideas from people on how to get rid of ME. Even not going to games in protest I am up for. We must do it as a group not just 1 or 2 grazed fans.

Ideas guys?

Who's in?

He must go!!!!!

NO DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

We started this campaign a year ago in the Matthew Elliott Disappreciation Society thread.

Everyone here knows he must go.
No use telling us again, it just makes a more deppressed.

I did say not everyone agrees with my approach, and that's perfectly fine. We're all individuals, free to make our own choices.

Mob, I'm not jumping up and down, just responding with my thoughts, which I had kept to my self until now. I support the

team wholeheartedly, but that does not extend to the coach or the management who defends him. I don't need to give him

another 25 weeks to judge his performance, I've made it based on the last 53.

The problem with waiting, is what are we going to be left with? We've lost most of our juniors from last year. We kept the

cream of that crop, but already Elliot's handling of the side has put Graham off. He started last season exactly the same,

only it was Sammut. He is constantly putting second rate purchases in front of our juniors. Why did we pay massive overs to

keep Smith and let Theohauras go. Do you think he stood up and said we need to keep Hlad at all costs? Ask Moors about his

treatment. Do you think Tia Kilifi will be happy to play one trial match each season?

Management didn't say Elliot was being judged on his performance, they said they couldn't afford to let him go. I'm saying

we can't afford to keep him.

Tommax25, I wasn't calling for a boycott. But I do believe if the place was empty for a few weeks, and accompanied by an

avalanche of e-mails explaining why, it would be difficult to ignore.

At the very least, MX's online petition is worth a try. The Raider's fans know our pain, I'm sure they would lend support.

It's just so annoying, spend all offseason building up anticipation for the upcoming season and now I'm already numb and disinterested, only one week into the season...

Cooperhead, MX. We should all go and sit on the training field while a game is on. with a sign saying anyone that wants Elliott gone. Should come and join us. that would have more impact.

I am sure ME doesn't watch the games. He can't he constantly plays the wrong players in postions. Wat will change between now and round 10? At least we can make the finals if we get changes now.

As for who can coach. A shaved monkey can coach better than ME! Monkeys even know Graham should be 1/2 or even in the team and IM fine. Tighe goes to bundy Cup Cooper to the Centres. Sammut at 1. Perfect team. Anyone knows that

6-8 rounds?

The man was clearly wrong for the job 6 weeks into his first year as coach, sack him.
