I thought they already did before the season started? Must be spooked with all the articles. The Broncos main sponsor, the NRMA, have expressed concerns regarding Matthew Lodge -

"Inside the last fortnight, Matt has also publicly stated that he in no way supports violence against women, and continues to work hard to improve himself as a member of society and within the NRL community."
Broncos CEO Paul White:
What a bizarre thing to say. Who would come out and say "I support violence against women"???
https://www.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nr...l/news-story/e011022e90ea76ac438df4fb31acda91Inglis reported being called a “black dog” as he left the field to undergo a head injury assessment in the Rabbitohs’ 18-14 loss to Penrith on Saturday with the Panthers and NRL immediately launching an investigation.
Panthers bosses Brian Fletcher and Phil Gould continue to pore over CCTV footage in order to hopefully identify the offender who is unlikely to be allowed to return to Panthers Stadium if found.
“You’re not welcome in the game, you’re not welcome to be part of the game and in fact you aren’t part of the game,” was Greenberg’s blunt message.
“If we do (find the person) we’ll throw the book at him.
“It’s disgusting. I don’t have to say the type of things that the game does in being inclusive and the work it does in indigenous programs.
“It’s a good reminder that that work needs to continue and we need to keep doing it because there are parts of society that need that reminder.”
It's just an entire sh*t show that continues to degenerate into a circus. It could have been avoided if the NRL had some foresight to get in front of this early. I've moved on from blaming the media because they are hungry for clicks and the NRL has given them an absolute beauty with this c*ck up.
I've got no doubt the victim compensation will be paid sooner rather than later as a way of putting a full stop to all of this.

Allowing the circus to continue. If the Broncos pay it, it should count against their cap.
Insurance companies in general pay when they have absolutely no option. Lodge cannot be compelled to pay until a court order is made against him in Australia. So he really can't be legally compelled to pay until that happens. I don't know about the NRMA, but I've had travel insurance claims refused on spurious grounds before. I know what the industry is like.I think the NRMA pay over 98% of claims
$US1.2 million? You think the Broncos will pay that?If the Broncos pay it, it should count against their cap.
I don't recall there being a committed and extensive media campaign that targeted Lui and the Cowboys though. Or am I wrong about that?I hated him representing us as well.
And was expectant of the sh*t we'd cop.
Not this 'Aww the world is against the bwoncos!'
One fan posted that.If the Broncos pay it, it should count against their cap.
Also massive brickbats to the Broncos fans in this thread that think playing "well" in a game of footy somehow "silences" critics of his off field behaviour.
Who cares, the media is doing it's job.I don't recall there being a committed and extensive media campaign that targeted Lui and the Cowboys though. Or am I wrong about that?
