Sad because I could sense he was finally coming good. I think Vic saw something too.

Against that, we could use his dough to complement what is already a bulging war chest for consistent Marquee and fresh raids on riff youngsters.

We still have major challenges

It doesn’t surprise me Mbye is being honourable in this situation.
Forget about him the footballer, as a man he is one of the most decent characters in the game.
Yes they are all great men, when they die or leave a club honourably arnt they..

Mbye leaving WT is a non event. The coverage is like he’s a star..he’s not and he will likely be at WT next year keeping the teams standards at Rock Bottom, with all his honourable intentions, decent character and wonderfull speaking ability still intact

If he is still here next year he will be playing reggies. He will move on.
As for the media, they are sniffing around looking for a bigger story, i.e. fractured playing group, coach under fire, drama, drama, drama....

I don't really see it that way. It's better for both Mbye and Tigers that he is talked up like a Marquee player so that whatever club signs him will pick up majority of his contract. I wouldn't be surprised if this turns into a shitfight with another club trying to take him for a fraction of his current contract

....And then he becomes the games highest scorer and wins a f**king dally m in his first year with his new side.

With us paying half his salary for 3 years.

Put your house on it.

We are cursed.

Too harsh but beautifully written.

If there was a Literary Award for dribble you’d be very hard to beat...

A lot of people enjoyed my in-depth Mbye no-try analysis on other forums.

It wasn’t footy that movement, it was f**king art.

“Mbyes coming home “ was a good slogan ....until he wanted out the next day.

Lol it was kick chase 101.
He did it well don’t get me wrong...until he dropped the ball and bombed a certain try.

Well my lecture on the play doesn’t actually address the bit after Mbye and the ball come into close contact.

Whether or not we actually scored from it was of academic interest only.

The cut and thrust of it was space metrics and confusing their defence.

I am still troubled by the fact that Lucy wasn’t given the ball. We may have been better off playing what was in front of us. It has been the source of some angst for me since I started my studies on it.

Perhaps you have a view?

I liked Stefs try! He looked more surprised than anyone else.

A top playmaker would have given a short ball to Lucy who would have sauntered under the posts. That was the high percentage play.
Douehi went the low percentage play which included many variables - one of which occurred.
I agree with you that an eyes up play was required there. A try went begging.

I’ll tell you why he’s unhappy at the Wests Tigers. Last year he had a knee injury. The physios and head of high performance sent him to go get scans and it came back clear so they were basically putting pressure on him to continue playing,” Rothfield told NRL 360.

“They strapped him up and he battled through the season, his form wasn’t great.

“At the end of the year they went for more MRI’s and what that showed was 15 pieces of floating bone in that knee so he then had an arthroscopy, they were removed and he was finally ready to come back this year healthy.

“But he wasn’t happy with the misdiagnosis, he wasn’t happy about the pressure put on him continually last year to play and whether this is a spillover from that, I don’t know.”

The drunk from the shire never misses an opportunity to put the toe in does he? Wish he'd hurry up and die from liver failure.
