Do you honestly think Sullivan will get the start ahead of Norman?
I think he's picking the team he wants, not necessarily the team he thinks will be picked. I don't think he would be alone in preferring Sullivan over Norman and even I also believe he would be more effective but I am also keen to let him develop in CC and want to see Norman under Hook, he should be in for a big season or it's off the the UK for him by the looks of it.

After weeks of speculation former Broncos hooker Andrew McCullough has found peace with this decision to leave Brisbane for the security that was being offered by St. George/ Illawarra.

McCullough, speaking for the first time since his move from Red Hill to the ‘Red V’, told The Rush Hour Queenslander with Dobbo that the decision to leave the Broncos was tough but some familiar faces at Kogarah have made the move easier him and his family.

“The boys are giving Benny Hunt a lot of stick now that he’s finally got a smile on his face at training, now that I’m here”.

LISTEN HERE

McCullough will be reunited with former coach Anthony Griffin when joins the Dragons on a three-year deal after the Broncos were unable to guarantee the 267-game veteran a longer future.

The rush hour interview with Dobbo certainly spoke up McCullough as being a quality player and individual. An asset to the team. Heard Hook speak also about the influence an “older head” on a playmaker can have. In this stage of our rebuild I’m becoming more convinced on the rightness of this signing. Might watch the game on Thursday and get a feel for what could be.

Even though the Broncos allowed the man to leave , Walters also said that he would be a great asset to his team , but it is now the Dragons who shall reap the benefits of that experience . Fingers crossed that he has no reoccurrence of his injury .

Mculloch wilbe good for 2 reasons.
1. He is a leader and motivator and a 200+ game experienced player that knows the hooking position like no other (except Cam smith)
2. He plays w Ben Hunt instinctively and has been as reported since the age of 11...which only means that we may see a different Ben Hunt and along w that a different Corey Norman...

Hunt performing as he should a distinct possibility . Norman we can only hope and should he not perform after a few rounds then bring Jayden Sullivan into the team - he is the future .

it will be Bird - no chance hook will risk a youngster in round 1...doesn't matter what he's saying in the media..it will be Bird straight to 5/8....

Clune aint no 'youngster' and Bird has bulked up and will play from.the bench at least in the early rounds, he could be the quintessential #14 covering lock, edge, halves, centre and fullback (probably even throw wing in there).

but do you honestly rate Clune? ..he's a player that goes missing in games and definitely not the answer as a back up 5/8 .IMO...

I agree. I have said for a while that Mcinnes best position is lock who can back up your hooker in need. If he stayed and signed a new deal that is where he was earmarked to play. Hook sees it, Cronulla see it, but Mary could or would not as he was too busy being a mate first and did not listen to his parting words of making CAM a priority.
We have bigger priorities breaking out from youth and grades below and itching to please..

No chance in hell that Bird starts round 1 in the number 6 jersey. He's been training in the second-row and also at lock. Griffin confirmed that he'll be eased in from the interchange early on too.

We won 7 games with Clune at halfback last season and he deserves the number 6 jersey IMO.

Give Sullivan half a season in Canterbury Cup. It'll benefit him massively - has a high ceiling.
