The let down of a draw from here could be eased considerably if Kleenex gets dudded cheaply by a howler.

I dont give a f**k about India being set a gettable total, I want to see us win it.

India wasn't going to chase 250 let alone 300.

It was very easy for Steve Waugh to set attacking declarations with Warne and McGrath. Smith has Harris who could break down anytime, Johnson who is out of form/down on pace and Haze a kid playing his second game.

Even Steve Waugh would really have rather drawn a test than lost one. As shown by having McGrath bowl about 3 stumps wide of off at the gabba to draw a test against New Zealand. Its a nice catchphrase but we are 2-0 up in a 4 test series where we don't hold the trophy. A draw is a win. We will win the series now.

Di Vinuto made the point India didn't try and get the last 3 wickets, wanted us to set them a gettable total. Mark Taylor said India hadn't taken 20 wickets in a test this series, so we cant always be the ones to set up a game for them to potentially win

All in all, F**k team India

Gavaskar Border Trophy is ours

Oh I agree. Nothing wrong with the draw in this scenario.

But this was a can't lose scenario 2 hours ago.

I still think we are a chance of winning. They can collapse more than any team in history.

If this wasn't a drop in pitch we would romp this in but then again we may not have so many runs to play with, at least it would be a result pitch like the old MCG

Did Sky cover it last time? Even 9 just picks up the local telecast doesn't it?

I was talking about the cricket seasons here in Australia, not when we tour over there. Irrespective of whether England are touring here or not, Ch9 should hire Lloyd and Vaughan here and get rid of Warne, Slats, Brayshaw

Exactly, great team and he led them well (not as well as Warne would have, just ask him. Actually shame he wasn't made capt that would have been great for the rest of us))

This is an ordinary team so batting on was right IMO, good series to win and a chance India implodes

if he is our match winner we're f**ked, he isn't bowling as well as he was a year or so ago

nice one Harry

the worrying thing about notch is that he has gone back to bowling with a scrambled seam, he needs to concentrate on his technique rather than his pace, he is losing his technique
