I don't think moriarty will run on Tuesday. Waller keen to run fore teller though. Wouldn't think it could run the trip but it's going great.

He is flying, I agree I doubt he will get the trip but you can't blame Waller for having a throw at the stumps.

Anyone else having troubles putting a first 4 together???

I think it is an armpit of a race to pick.

Still like Sea Moon, Hawkspur, and Jet Away. I REALLY hate $5 favourites in the Cup, it is a lottery as it is and the horse would have to to Makaybe Diva for me to back it at $5.

First 4: Sea Moon, Hawkspur, Jet Away, Dandino (at this stage, and I change my mind every 10 minutes)

Jetaway has to win the Mackinnon to gain a start, i backed him in the Caulfield Cup and his run 2nd up was massive. Sea Moon doesn't seem to have the turn of foot to win a cup these days. I like Seville the most out of the Williams runners.

The real market will be up Saturday night. Hopefully there are a few impressive winners on Saturday in the Lexus and Mackinnon so I can load up on Hawkspur at a good price.

Nice..;-)

I never bet before the barrier draw, but that is a good get..if it wins..
After she won the St Leger Weld said she was no chance to run, i checked the odds and she was $57 and had a bit EW. Nek Minnet sold to Maroney

Anyone who likes Jetaway back him now he should win the Mackinnon easily and then be around $10 for the Cup.

If it can't win the MacKinnon this year I'll almost dead set give it away. Suited, good jockey and the only other decent horse is Dear Demi. Sea Moon is a weird one, I like it but then again I expect it to be in and around the first 4, will be in the exotics, probably won't go for the win on that one.

Oh I will back it in some form- maybe an E/W bet- I do like Williams horses and I am a damn sucker for his horses! Him and Waller horses are the ones I back.

Actually have done okay this carnival- belted Long John for the win there, so I am still up anyway.

Horses to eliminate first when picking your Melbourne Cup winner.

Dunaden
Red Cadeaux
Mourayan
Precedence
Forgotten Voice
Moudre
Ironstein
(If they get a run of course)

The Reason:

They are old too old....aged 8 or over. There have only been ever two Cup winners aged 8 - Catalogue in 1938 and Toryboy in 1865. No horse has ever won aged 9 or more.

There's something about Simenon's trainer's knowing smirk whenever he's interviewed that makes me think it's gonna win.

Ruscello will run in the Melbourne Cup with 50kg on it's back in the shape of Chad Schofield.

Deja Vu perhaps?
