14 up, was nervous as all hell, as soon as they scored, I saw the tide turn, they were on a roll and we were on back foot with decent defence, but that last try, 80 mins, sirens blared, then play the ball, meanwhile video ref already at home in PJ's, fun Warren Smith and his freaked Hoodoo, and the very unbiased comments, " thy champs are coming".....made me sick!

Agreed. But I think Widdop did his job though. He put the ball out to wind down the clock at the back end of our sets in that last 5 mins. They just carved us up through the middle. No fault of Widdop at all in that instance, just soft defense...

Yep, we had a lapse but its something we can easily clean up. What I notice is the markers - we often only have 1 marker at the play the ball with the other guy still getting back on side or still lying on the ground. This is where it is hurting us. We aren't getting the markers in place before the play the ball and hence the play the ball is quick and we are back pedalling. I'm not sure the defence is the total problem, it's partially the play the ball.

Irrespective, yes we had some calls go our way and I think some went the other way too. I'm still not convinced that first try wasn't held up.

I think Witt is the half - we had better structure out there tonight without the seemingly haphazard attack. He had a hand in some good movements as well as adding support to Widdop.

Losing the 2 right centres hurt too - as you saw they attacked that side constantly.

Overall it was an improvement and I think if we come out like that every weekend we will have a fighting chance against any team.

I think this is partially because of the speed of the play the ball and the markers - also the offloads. I think the defence isn't too bad if we slow them down at the play the ball and stop the offloads.
