Melbourne must still be cheating the cap

Well, that's all very good and well, but they *were* cheating in 06-09. Whether they would have been successful anyway is entirely irrelevant. Also go kill yourself.

See what happens when they lose Cronk because of a competing offer they can't match. You have to remember the big 3 have never been on the open market in a truly competitive bidding environment. This is the last year before it all comes crashing down (again) so enjoy it while it lasts.

The same thing was said about Greg Inglis and how Melbourne would fall apart without the Big 4. That was proven to be hella wrong

Who won the comp last year? Not Melbourne? Oh well. If only they had an extra million to spend on playing talent than everyone else, they may have stood a better chance.

And in 2011 they were run away minor premiers just like in 06-08, thus proving that no matter how much Melbourne pays their players they'll still dominate the rest of the comp.

Such a shame they still have nothing to show for all that domination...

Whilst melbourne look good, they haven't played a single team who made the finals last year. Pretty amusing thinking Titans, Rabbitohs, Roosters or the Raiders are noteworthy scalps.

Apart from the JJ Giltinan Shield and a whole bunch of butthurt fans of teams who got rolled that year by the greatest rugby league team to play the game.

I think the worrying thing is that Storm hasn't looked like getting out of second gear against these teams

So you'll apologise when Melbourne roll St Merge then? Cool

Most of the top teams won't. Roosters were diabolical today, Titans are terrible every week, Rabbitohs are up and down but were pretty damn ordinary against the Storm, Raiders is the only game that they've been challenged.

The competition is fundamentally weak this year, but you can't judge the storm one way or the other until they actually come up against decent competition.

This is the last year before it all comes crashing down.

We're going to take your halfback.

Smith and Slater won't win it all by themselves.
