Fits our patten.Lots of answers but no real answers.

Great read and very accurateHook is cooked... but it'll mean nothing unless the Dragons change everything
St George Illawarra now have a clean slate to map out long-term success after the overdue end of Anthony Griffin's time as coach.www.theroar.com.au
Nothing has changed. The BOD continues to go down the path of making decisions based on political agreement rather than those found in the Club's best interest.Great read and very accurate
I for one don't care about NRLW. Put it on a separate site. It's just in the way of what I want to look at.I was on Zoom-i dont think any questions from Zoom were answered. If they were, who read them out, because we couldn't see who asked questions. There was certainly some anger in the crowd, and a few guys were very passionate. The board looked very uncomfortable with quite a few of the speakers and Matt Elliot tried to calm a few down a bit, and limit what they had to say. They talked a lot about how things were going blah blah blah, but everyone knew what we were there for and what answers we wanted. As far as accountability for selecting 3 dud coaches in a row, there was none. They just sat there and pretended it wasnt them. One guy even made it a direct question, and still it wasnt answered. I was cranky no Zoom questions were answered but i dont think the crew there knew how to make it happen. When they were asked why our website was so out of date as regards to NRLW, they couldnt answer, or worse werent even aware of it and just blamed an overworked IT dept. The guy who asked that question then pointed out that it was small things like that , that make all the difference and we really have to try harder. However i came away with a renewed hope for the future, and think things will hopefully improve from now on with correct team selection maybe happening. The comp is compressed enough that we can still dream of finals football if our team decides to try and do it. I guess we'll find out friday night. Please, please ,please get some revenge on the cheating chooks after Anzac Day
I agree with you fully. I only mentioned it because it highlighted everything thats wrong at the Dragons. They cant even keep the website up to date. However i dont want to watch NRLW or read about it eitherI for one don't care about NRLW. Put it on a separate site. It's just in the way of what I want to look at.
I think at one point they indicated a learning was to have adequate staffing.Blah Blah Blah.
It only takes them 12 years and not sure if they are even on the tight track
My understanding there was the increase in new teams was before the increased salary cap, which meant the new teams pretty much had a free reign to lure players away. However, it may be telling that we lost so many players from our NRLW team. Including a Dally M winner, and our Captain.
Yes, correct a few more teams came in. As an original team that has happened to us every time a new team has come in. This time was remarkable though. Just to skim the top - Aust reps: Kezie Apps to WTigers, Emma Tonegato to <Cough> Sharks and Shaylee Bent to Titans. My understanding there was the increase in new teams was before the increased salary cap, which meant the new teams pretty much had a free rein to lure players away.
Thanks RedVeeOne mistake they admitted to was interfering when Mary was Coach by putting in a selection committee over him.
They won’t do that again, the lesson being let the coach coach.
This board doesn’t have St George Leagues Club as its asset. That belongs to one of the shareholders. Thanks RedVee
I'm not fan of the Board, but I will give them some credit here for calling that out and acknowledging their interference. The first step in the right direction.
The Board needs to focus on building the Dragons brand, re-engage with its supports, work out how to maximise the value of its assets (eg Dragons Leagues club at Kogarah) and build stronger ties with Corporate Australia.
YesIs it true that their dial up modem dropped out because someone picked up the phone on their end?
That wasn’t a mistake. Mary’s team selections and general coaching were terrible. By putting a selection committee over him forced McFlop to f**k off. I agree that it wasn't a mistake to take away team selections from him-your Lambourgini and toddler analogy is fantastic. That wasn’t a mistake. Mary’s team selections were terrible. Wrong thread for this of course, but for me, the biggest loss is Taliah Fuimaono. However, it may be telling that we lost so many players from our NRLW team. Including a Dally M winner, and our Captain.
Yes another loss. Plus Elsie Albert - on her form of 2 years ago a big loss, on last season not so much.Wrong thread for this of course, but for me, the biggest loss is Taliah Fuimaono.
