So why do we think it is a "staffing" issue?

The times I have rung up (I think 3 now) about not having my ticket and what to do and getting a new one sent, there has been someone to take my call immediately.

I think the problem was a numbnutted decision to do this all via f'n china to save some $$$s. Should it really take 4 weeks (20 working days) to "dispatch" a few pieces of junk and a printed ticket? .... surely that time period would have been agreed upon at the time of giving the contract to the company ..... seems a pretty dodgy decision to me ..... plus the added risk of shit going missing cos it is coming from f'n china


I think staffing is the reason for the result you mentioned mate. I have heard tell form 2010 onwards of former membership people coming back to the club on a casual wage to get through the renewals that come in by hand, most working till very late at night to get the processing done. The China fulfilment centre (which does shock me, I have seen fulfilment centres in Australia that do great work). Would only need a spread sheet sent to them once a day/week/ whenever and would do the rest.

You should have tried calling towards the end of last year. I know of someone who rang 20 times until they got a response because they were so understaffed. As for it being a numbnutted decision to do this via China to save money you are probably right - especially when (I'm assuming) they haven't dealt with the company before.

i thought i'd fill you in on the latest development ...

so i got home tonight and there is a package ... eels member pack including my ticket - i think yay! but why did they send me a 2nd pack of plastic rubbish

open it - the ticket has a letter with it dated 19-Feb ... the date I was sent the very first email that my pack had originally been dispatched (which said it could take up to 20 business days) .... so seems this is the original pack .... it has taken 32 business days to arrive :lol: :lol: .... thats 6 weeks and 2 days .... where oh where has my little pack been? it must have been on some journey

so then I thought - f**k, i bet this original ticket was cancelled and won't get me into the ground :(

Isn't every day a business day in China where they're being sent from? You're being too kind Strider, that'd be about 45 business days by now.

My situation is the same.

Received the 2nd member pack yesterday with a letter dated 18 Feb. I already know that this ticket has been cancelled (they have sent a second pack to replace the "lost" one which I got yesterday), so I will talk to the people at the membership stand tomorrow to see if I can get this ticket reactivated.

If they cancel a ticket easily, surely they can reactivate it too.
