Mental toughness and desire.

Frenzy.

I've got four screenies to show which demonstrate the lack of the titled qualities, mental toughness and desire, and the difference between the Sharks and the elit teams

1. Distance between Sharks "shooter" Tinkerbell and Walker on his FG attempt

Tinkerbell flying through the air. The ball is the white thing just above the Shire Financial Planning sign.
IMG_2624 2.jpg

Teddy's attempted charge down. Came at Nicho hard and fast, low, and at the ball

IMG_2625.jpg

Keary's effort. Up fast and hard, gets within a metre of Nicho and jumps into the ball

Elimination final. Everything to play for. Didn't have the head muscles to stand up and be counted. These pics are only a few examples over the year of how soft this Sharks team is.

Get rid of any sports psychologists they have - if they have one, they are way too fluffy and this team comes across to me as being way too entitled and needed way too many cuddles.

Tinkerbell can go and get fekked.

Agree on Brailey. Massive reason for why we fumbled our way to another predictable heart breaking loss last night. Doesn’t have the desire or ability unfortunately.

Another one on Tinerkbell I just remembered - in the first half we were on the attack about 30-4 out from the Roosters line, playing the ball about 15-20 in from the left touch line.
As whoever was playing the ball Trindall sprinted from the open side to the blind and was screaming for it.
Brails ignored him and went the open, and Trindall was absolutely blowing up about it.

I'd have to watch it again to see what he had seen, and what was on, but it's just another in many examples I can recall this year where one of the halves is screaming for a play but doesn't get the service.

The prima-donna needs a pharquing rocket IMHO.

As facetious as you’re being, I think you’re right.
He may not have landed it, but he’d know the setup and execution.

how we didn't get to a proper setup for a field goal is beyond me.

penalty to us with 5 to go and couldn't get it done.

This will burn, the Chad would have got it done lol

I don't know how many times over the years we've screwed up these set ups as a club. The players change, but some how we can't do one of the easiest plays ever. Get in front. Set up a wall, Pass it back 10 metres and give yourself time to take an easy kick. First graders executing at the level of under 7s. Most depressing.

yep, been happening since Flanagan was coach. With 4 minutes to go with all that ball, you just knew we wouldn’t get it done.

Watching that last 5 minutes, this is where I'd agree the chicks would have done it better lol

Copping it from almost any publication that can get column space in about mental toughness.

Wonder whether within the 4 walls it is acknowledged.

And what would the same rags say of Newcastle lost yesterday? It was a toss of a coin that game, that they were meant to walk home in. Fugg the media - their agenda to tear anyone down and move on is pathetic really. Anyway, they have Val and his little bag now to dissect until next weekend.

Anyone but the Donkeys.

Gawd I am looking forward to the off season.
A mate turned me on Saturday night and said it was probably a good thing the Broncos might win it. I told him not to say that out aloud again, too late though for a few young bucks heard it and piled on him.
Embarrassing, yes but a solid lesson to learn

Arh mate you should see how they are already carrying on up here. All the ones that jumped ship to the Dolphs at the beginning of the year are now wall life long Donks supporters again.

They all think that they have already got it won.

It will be unbearable it that far can happens.

You'd think they would have trained for a field goal play. Didn't look like it at all as others have said the forwards all out of position

I don’t get why players don’t throw the dummy from dummy half more often in that situation. Everyone rushes up past the ball at the player expected to get it for the field goal. There’s always so much space. Especially if it isn’t the last, take the chance and go for the try.

The mental thing is a lazy shot at Nicho. Nicho was by far our best on the weekend he just has no f**ken help from 3 blokes who will never reach rep footy in the spine.

The service for the fg shots look where he catches the ball and look at the service a rookie gave Walker. Brailey I have always defended but it was disgusting.
