Check these guys out or should I say kids. Apparently the singer is 15 and the rest of the band are under 20, amazing stuff. RON you will love this band!

I have listened to the rest of their album, pretty bloody good if you ask me, its METAL!

There is also a cover version of Metallicas Hit the lights which is not too bad.

Check out Max Cavalera's new band, Cavalera Conspiracy.(For those playing at home, Max Cavalera was the mind behind Soulfly and Sepultura).CC has a new clip that is awesomely creepy.

Well AILD, each to their own ... but f**k I hate that whole hardcore scene!!

Actually KSE are okay but the rest do little for me.

Hey Syd, the new Testament album sounds pretty damn good from what I've heard.

Not a massive Bullet For My Valentine fan but I heard their new single "Scream Aim Fire" the other day on Rage and I must say I liked it.

I only really got into Kataklysm when they released Serenity in Fire and have become a big fan since.

Also, yes to Akercocke. That opening to Choronzon still gives me chills.

Top Album, check it out, has much more Metal elements to it then their first album.

Yeah - "Scream Aim Fire" sounds much more like Trivium and metal than the 'core stuff they were doing before. Impressed - love the riss on "Scream Aim Fire".

yeah fair enough. i really didnt like it much untill recently tbh. i wasnt really into anything too "heavy" mostly nu-metal type of sh*t....used to love fear factory, trangression suck major ass tho IMO, i seem to be in a minority with that tho. but the last year or so ive moved from that type of stuff and really got into the hardcore/metal core (whatever its called!!!) stuff. i went and saw kse live and it was f**king awesome....best band ive seen live ever.

I totally disagree hey, i think the new album sounds weak as, especially Matt's vocals. The first 2 songs are okay, but the rest of the album is poor. I know he had throat surgery, but f%$k me, he sounds really weak in the vocal department.

Thrash ain't dead......2008 is the year of the rebirth of thrash freakin' metal.

Old school thrash bands are getting back together with new stuff and the young'uns are cranking some old school sounds.

Personally, I'm waiting for Believer and Once Dead (featuring original members of infamous cult thrashers Vengeance Rising).

It was a pun aimed at hev, he made this ridiculous claim (whether tongue in cheek or not) some time ago

Well if it wasn't dead it was on its deathbed!!

But yes it is experiencing a rebirth.

Even Testament had started to go a bit death metal - which works for me - but the new one is true thrash again and f**king superb too.

I had one of those Wow moments when I put it on.

Sydraider gets very upset if you insult thrash Impellitteri ...

Listen to LOW or even THE RITUAL and you hear a touch of death about testament. Chuck Billy is amazing, he has comeback from throat cancer to be still singing as good as ever Testament style.

With United Abominations out last year, Death Angel,Overkill and Testament with new releases this year and still the long awaited and much debated new Metallica opus to be released, thrash metal is looking good for 08 and about time to! :-D
