Ennis does this kind of thing every single game. It gets under most fans skin but to be honest I think most opposition players find his behaviour to be a bit of joke (on him) and just ignore it. Seems like a decent bloke off the field but becomes a 5 (or is it 3) year old once he runs onto the pitch, don't know how his teammates put up with it to be honest, maybe they think it's a bit of a joke too. Ennis presents a poor image for the NRL, most fans can't stand his childish antics and the fans are the ones who count. In that light alone, Ennis is exactly the kind of player NSW DON'T want. But he also gives away too many penalties, too unpredictable in his behaviour, goes into his shell (like a 5 year old) when losing or when the going gets tough. But NSW will pick him and a few of the other regular dropkicks and they lose yet another series.
I'm a dragons fan and I'm actually embarrased we let Ennis wear the famous red V, fortunately he was injured most of the time and didn't get to wear it too often. He didn't seem to fit in with dragons or broncos culture, seems right at home at the bulldogs though. ;-) Probably should never have left Newcastle.
Having said all that, if someone does't rip his head off this year, I will.
