thats right

wheres skeepe?

How dare we talk down a marquee champion batsman, who is obviously a lot more to a team than making runs
And we also better not say anything about our fearless leader. who continues to lead from the front

Question is who is there to replace Hussey. I'm not too confident of putting Watson at 4. I don't follow much state cricket, are there any stand-out candidates?

Hodge, White, Dussey, could even push Clarke, North and Haddin up 1 spot and bring in McDonald :D

Hughes has to be given a better run in test matches

Watson at 6, North at 5

i can't see watson lasting as an opener for much longer. He is already starting to get worked out. misses way to many on the stumps, never seen so many close lbw calls for one person

Yep Hughes to opener for sure but I'd have Watson at 4 so Clarke and North can stay at 5 and 6 and continue with there good form battin together.

Husseys last test innings tonight.

Who else is there to put in? Noone has a legitimate great record in state cricket. Im not really sold on any of them. Maybe Jaques as a number 4, who knows.

In any event, whoever is in the team after this test, whether it be M.Hussey, D.Hussey, Fergo, Voges, Jaques, Watson - whoever, they will be in the team for a while as whoever it is comes up against attacks like Pakistan and West Indies.

If M.Hussey is shown further faith he will bounce back and pile on hundred after hundred in Australia this summer and stay in the team for years until we come up agsinst some real qorld class opposition again.

Give anybody a chance IMO. Not even legends of the game like Hayden and Waugh were given as long as Hussey has to perform. Hussey either makes a ton and guides the Aussies to victory in this test or he makes way for a young bloke with talent and years on his side.

Great effort from Huss, he dug deep and saved his career.

Turning point was definately the Ponting run-out.

People were saying we lost the 2005 Ashes because there was no Hussey.

He was one of the major reasons we lost the 2009 Ashes.
