It’ll be so Wests if he turns the Broncos into a powerhouse within one full season
Yes Coz sacking Madge ultimately fixed everything at the tigers, he was totally the problem there...
Not even Ivan wanted to wait around to get sacked, thought it best to jump ship bus

Not sure where this Madge failed at Souths is coming from. Won a premiership which even Bennett failed to do, and no other souths coach has done in the past 50 years. He took over a mid table side and had them in the prelims straight away. Ultimately his squad aged out and he was let go.

As for the Tigers, well things haven’t gone well since he left so was it really a failure?

The squad aging out and loyalty to premiership players has ended a few coaching stints.

Paul Green held onto his 2015 players too long.

Robbo seemed to keep some of his 2018/2019 squad past their use bys. Still has his job though.

PENRITH are on the run because so many players hit first grade young and we got them for their rookie and second mid range contracts. Critta being the prime example.

He was given a gold plated roster at Souths. Winning a premiership was surely a bare minimum with the squad they had.

Issac Luke, Sam Burgess & Greg Inglis at there peaks were recruited before he arrived.

He lucked in Adam Reynolds came through at the time he started as coach.

The stars aligned i reckon Bennett would have won 100% with the squad Madge had.

Reynolds was in a competition to be the starting half back so required development. As did Keary.

Madge won a comp with Dave Tyrell and Jason Clark as front rowers. Two of the ploddiest plodders who ever plodded.

All premiership teams have gold plated rosters.

Madge was obviously too intense for his second generation of players but coached up a squad of talent to a powerhouse.

He had a good roster but as far as premiership rosters, it isn't one of the better ones IMO which suggests he did a good job with them.

Brisbane have a better roster than souths in 2012.
