Heard a brief radio grab that Graham Lowe was saying NSW players should only be available for Australia. It was in response to some pushback on socials to some players choosing NSW. I gather.
Couldn’t find an article.

Anyone got more on this?

This test vs Fiji is going to be the last time David Mead plays for the Kumuls.
He will be retiring from Internationals straight after and won't be going to the World Cup at the end of the year.

Grandstand tickets down to less than 100 on general sale. Northbank embarkment has gone on sale at Mt Smart.
Screen Shot 2022-06-23 at 5.35.01 pm.png

Less tickets available than what is on offer for the Warriors v Wests Tigers game which has been announced as a 'sell out' and will have a crowd of over 26,500, so I'd be disappointed if the NZ v Tonga game didn't announce something over 25K as well.

Main grandstand tickets and seats behind the posts have gone for Campbelltown Sports Stadium, so possibly sitting at around 10,000 sold for the Pacific double header.

Well this didn't really answer my question whether you were being straight up or sarcastic in your OP.

There's no reason that international rugby shouldn't run when Origin is on aside from Aussie rugby league being dicks.
Read this thread mate. It's a f**ken shambles. Don't play tests around origin.. simple.
And let the f**ken kangaroos play more than once every world cup....

Honestly, I hate to say it but it’s probably better that this is the last of the mid year Tests.

Dumping the games in a suburban hole like Campbelltown/Leumeah with zero promotion and putting the shittiest critic of International RL in Gus to co-commentate to just mention Origin every 30 seconds..

Sheesh, it's that type of thinking which contributes to the B/S focus on Origin and the minimising of international league.

There were three games of decent league played yesterday. The atmosphere was off the charts in Auckland. Just play a triple header there if you're worried about suburban hell holes.

There was no reason these tests couldnt, and shouldnt have been played in their countries, other than the organizers being tight arses and not wanting to pay travel and accommodation, and TV whining that even they dont give a sht about tests they still want to screen them cheaply. At the very least PNG should have been at home. Its such an insult to their countries and fans to play it at such a sht neutral venue.
Well done Tonga fans on filling M Smart, you embarrassed the home sides support lol.

Lol@Ch9! The Sunday origin drew a bigger audience than the Wednesday night one, yet they've demanded no more weekend origin, meaning no more mid season test rounds. What so they can have smaller audiences? They're cooked.

Wayne's not wrong. But I'm sure we can expect Phil Gould to be wheeled out at any moment telling all and sundry that no one really cares about international RL. Tell that to the Tongans...

We need to save rugby league from the conservatives. We need to be progressive and not just maintain the status quo. There's only so much I can hear and read about Penrith every week. I'd rather hear about international rugby league.
