6 guys in SOO. No Leota and we still will start favourites. Shows the depth
Our depth is not good enough to deserve to be favourites. Odds will surely change as a result of all the Origin players out on top of injuries and suspension.

We are a chance. But this will be half a NSW Cup side.

NSW Cup is the best defence too. So defence should be strong Edwards being back will help

Looking at what's available. I think our best 17 would be:

1. Edwards
2. Rennings
3. Crichton
4. Momirovski
5. Staines
6. May
7. Burton
8. Jfh
9. Kenny
10. Leniu
11. Kikau
12. Sorensen
13. Hopgood

14. Naden
15. Eisenhuth
16. L. Smith
17. Tago

Naden on bench is a bit of a wild selection. But he's experienced and can cover any of backline but has a bit of size about him too. If we had a decent utility option I would prefer that, but hey we put him on the bench in a grand final.

I think Tago is too small for the pack. But honestly there's not much to pick from and the kid has talent. I don't see anyway our bench isn't a weakness really. Need big minutes out of our starting players. Thankfully Tigers pack aren't a ruthless massive pack. But they will have the advantage over us with bench at least.

The other option is including NSW Cup halves with Burton to keep May on the bench. But I really think we're better off going for May and Burton.

Crichton will be our goal kicker. I can't imagine we pick Falls when May and Burton have filled in at NRL level before successfully.

If there was a chance he was picked getting destroyed by Mounties surely killed that chance. Whole team was poor. But neither half put their hand up saying give me a shot.

Actually not the whole team. Rennings looked very good in a team that was not performing well.

Worst case scenario, Edwards and Hopgood both still injured, and Api unavailable due to 18th man duties.

My team would be:
1. Critta
2. Jennings
3. Naden
4. Momirovski
5. Staines
6. Salmon
7. Burton
8. Leniu
9. Kenny
10. Fisher-Harris
11. Kikau
12. Sorenson
13. May

14. Eisenhuth
15. Tago
16. Smith
17. Falls

Would be a BIG effort to get the job done with that team, especially after the way both our NRL and NSW Cup teams played on Saturday.

I reckon Ivan uses anyone that already has 1st grade experience before blooding any newbies

1. Edwards
2. Jennings
3. Naden
4. Crichton
5. Staines
6. Momirovski
7. Burton
8. Fisher-Harris
9. Kenny
10. Eisenhuth
11. Kikau
12. Sorenson
13. May

14. Salmon
15. Tago
16. Leniu
17. Hopgood

Looking that that list only Tago hasn't played 1st grade, where all others have
And Momirovski is a half, we have just been playing him in the wing or centres.
Better to keep May on the field for 80 and Salmon can slot in 5/8th if we have injuries, with momo covering outside backs, good thing is Tago, Sorenson, Hopgood can all cover any edges, middles

Your game this week reminds me very much of 2016 when the Sharks played you guys and we had 5 players out due to SOO.
Bad memory for you, but this game will show how well your players buy into your systems, and with a win will go a long way into the confidence stakes for the rest of the season.
It’s actually quite an important game for you.
I predict you will win it comfortably.
