The Smug King returneth to wreak havoc and destroy the empire he helped to build.

He should be up for this one to prove a point.

Bulk cuddles after the match.

The brilliant Daine Laurie has spent more quality time with this weeks smug side than Ivan!

He will be up to speed with all of the secret tricks and Achilles heels of your illustrious sub-junior line up.

Of course I still think we need Lucy to drive the point home!

It was interesting reading the West Tigers forum a couple of weeks back (not the LU version) and your fans were already questioning young Daine Laurie. Couldn’t believe what I was reading, given how he had made such a promising start. One knucklehead was suggesting Daine couldn’t make a line break to save himself it was embarrassing reading. Anyway I’m sure he is back in favour but some fans really have no idea.

Dylan v Laurie would be a great spectacle. A bit of grudge as well!

No grudge involved mate. Daine was highly regarded in his time with us, the club always knew he was an NRL player in waiting and too our credit we allowed him to leave and fulfill his dream All Panthers fans wished him well and are enjoying seeing him make every post a winner with you guys, great to see.

Well as you know, I love my Dylan and he kept Daine out of the first grade. So there may be some come uppences.

Dylan’s going to want to dominate and show Daine who is the boss and Daine will want to send the message to Ivan that he’s next immortal or something.

Daine just learns. One of a couple of our players who never goes backwards. Tigers lu we want to extend him now.

If there’s one massive positive for just about all Panther fans on LU they always wish players who depart us the best of luck and good fortune.

Perhaps the only exception being the much maligned Jack Hetherington. I don’t get the hate for Jack but that is just me, there is a really talented footballer in the body he just hasn’t quite developed as he should have. Still has time.

Could have been the Smug King still, but the lure of the green always wins out. Not any sort of matchwinner, but I do feel we aren't quite as good up front without him.

Edwards unlikely to play by the sounds of it.

I almost want Edwards to be out so we see Tago at centre

Definitely not. We need our best 17 this week whatever that may be and Edwards coming back in will be a key. I have no idea what side Ivan will go with but he has to go with our best 17 if fit and available.

Yeah we are waiting for him to win matches too. Maybe he just looks like a captain and I guess that’s the main thing!

I’d love to see the battle Royale Dylan v Daine.

Footy poetry!

There’s a lot of fickleness out there. From my understanding of the sport, he’d be entitled to a couple of quiet games after such a stellar start and I wouldn’t bat an eyelid.

A lot of our Souths buddies were upset with the thrashings they received and calmed down last weekend, but they were always going to struggle and come good.

The key is consistency and Madge admitted only a handful of our players are in that zone right now. So we are out and about signing the earth. I like Nado and was sorry we missed him. We have a few players recovering and we might have helped him.

I think the West Tigers fans are happy to play the under dog card even given how many players we have missing. I get that. At the end of the day top sides will be missing there star players during SOO that is a fact of life. We have to somehow overcome the players we are missing and hope our depth players can do a job. I need to see the team Ivan names before assessing whether we are a realistic chance of securing the two points in Friday night.

Thats more to do with the Tigers being 13th on the ladder. They are treating Laurie as a whipping boy because of it, especially as he is an easy ex-Panther target.
