Supposed to be a site that the band will be releasing bits and pieces in the lead up to the new album. Have had a quick look at it and looks like it could be cool. Not many new sounds on there at the moment but probably worth putting into favourites and checking on regularly until the album comes out if your a fan.

Kirk promised us "new metal" not nu metal..

I bloody hope so but i am not that confident.. Their best days are behind them but anything that is an improvement on the sound that was St Anger will just about do me

Some of the songs were very good but completely ruined by how it actually ended up sounding.

Looking forward to something good from this one.

the bassist (??) had it writen on his guitar ( friends dont let friends get haircuts)...in referrance to metallica losing their long hair for the shorter look when they were doing load. i think it was during AIC unplugged

I could have sworn it was "Friends don't let Friends get Friends haircuts" (in reference to metallica getting haircuts that wouldn't look out of place on the popular TV series).

Back to Metallica here is a couple of tracks from the new album played live. They sound pretty good. Kinda like a cross between Justice and the Black Album. Remember that these songs were not completely written (most of the times when James doesn't know what he wants to write yet, he just does "Whoa! Yeah!" type stuff).
