Pearce has played 10 origins? 12? Has he ever stood up and had a big game? I don't think so. How many tries has he scored in that time? I can think of 1 back in 2010 or around that time. Im not even going to ask about try assists, less than five im sure.

He has been a complete failure at this level, sure our team has been losing for a lot of that time but we have been in games with the field position and forward battle at times over the years and Pearce could never take any of those chances. His form has never been adequate no matter what the rest of the team were doing. A complete and utter failure, he is one of the most experienced orgin 7s ever and even last year game 1 he couldn't work out how to win the game when it was there to be won, you cant blame the team for that as we were right in that one until we needed a half to step up/.

Scored one in game 1 2011 after a Greg Bird break I think. To put us in the lead, while we naturally threw away with some poor defence a few minutes later.

Who has that philosophy?

The majority of NSW fans do, Pearce has copped the sole blame for all origin defeats he has been a part of. You may be smart enough to know there are other factors but that would put you in the top 2 percentile of NSW fans.

You must be talking to a small cross section of fans.

Even have a look back through this thread. You will see the amount of people who make valid points about farah's kicking game, service and vision, bird and gallen's overplaying in the attacking zone, various forward's attributes including footwork before the line and whether they translate well to SOO, and the coach's use of edge forwards in the middle and players who are effective for 80 being used as impact players.

No one is blaming solely Pearce. But he is f**king hopeless in SOO and should never have been given as many chances as he has. People are frustrated by that. And vent. But nobody thinks here aren't other things NSW can improve.

Bullshit

We know other factors have gone into the losses, of bloody course there were

Pearce has been little but shit in his appearances though at the cost of better performing halves.

Christ, it's usually only Roosters fans who sook about it this much

Watched Pearce's SIX MINUTE long Origin f**k up video on youtube last night. We have literally gifted qld so many series by picking the useless turd.

Our halves selections have diabolical for years. Soward sacrificed after one series for Pearce's failings. Carney sacrificed after one series for Pearce's failings. Maloney sacrificed after one series for Pearce's failings. And the when Pearce rules himself out, we trot out Josh Reynolds (we won in 2014 despite his presence) and the at best somewhat competent Hodkinson. I'll forgive Hokko because he did come up with the game breaking, series winning play in 2014, and at least he's not Pearce.

Maloney and Reynolds are not the equal of Locky and JT or JT and Cronk, and they never will be, but they are the best halves we have, and both should have played more than 3 and 0 games respectively by now. Frankly, they should have been the established halves pairing by now. If Maloney had been retained in 2014 and paired with Reynolds then (who was in form leading an on fire Souffs team), We'd absolutely be in much better position now.

NSW is so desperate to find decent halves, the pressure and expectations are now so unreasonable, only another Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley will satisfy the Blues fans.

Don't forget Mullen - blooded too early and hasn't recovered since.

Just to rub it in, what do Queensland do? Who are the form halves of the competition - Milford and Hunt.

Who are the emerging halves for NSW? Probably still five years away.

Couldn't f**king believe my ears this morning when the NRL streamed this chat between Brad Fittler, Adrian Lam, Shaun Timmins and some host and three of the four said they'd still have Pearce there!

Ffs the smartest thing that has ever come out of Freddy's monged mouth was that he'd still have Reynolds there and if he had to pick Pearce he'd have him at 5/8 as opposed to five-eighth.

Absolutely boggles the mind that people are still defending Pearce.

Pearce is still young and deserves more chances. NSW should stick solid with him imo
