Morris pledged a further $20million today, that goes with the $10Million last year. Ground capacity will be 33,000 when it's completed.
Not sure about the roof. They raised the seating cap because they want to host world cup football games there if they get it.33K nice! I though they were going to cap it at 25K?
Are they still planning on putting the roof all the way around the ground once it's finished? That would make for some great atmosphere.
Nah they're still going to keep the hills at both ends for the families to sit in the sun, with the proviso of putting temporary seating in if we are successful with the World Cup bid.33K nice! I though they were going to cap it at 25K?

I think it's around 35,000 v Manly way back, I was at that game packed in like sardines.Awsome, I can only imagine what it'd be like with 33k people there
What is the record attendence anyway? Isn't it around 33k?

Was listening to hadley this morning and he read the news article when it came to hand and he said that with temporary seating at each end of the ground it will get to around 40k. imagine that
The three-stage development will modernised the dated stadium facilities and replace the existing western grandstand, increasing the crowd capacity from 33,000 to 40,000 by the end of 2010.
Now we've got to find a way to fill the thing up.
A 40k ground with a 16k crowd isn't going to look too flash.

Having a 40,000 capacity ground would be better to allow for future growth of the city...
