And what great sales pitch they did to the sponsors selling a whole new start over approach of a big name and some good talkers, but untried in first grade, famous head coach to co ordinate it all, rather than selling a great feel good story of struggling club ,young coach dealing with overpaid has beens managing to bring a bunch of young Players on and buy some fill ins on peanuts to get through the next couple of years making finals but falling short with a team that the new coach now in charge cant win with even against bottom sides.? it was a story that reeked of rugby league , Tribalism , Playing for your mates overcoming the odds and Players doing it for each other ,their families and the club.. The working class game the working class club that doesnt just buy premierships like Strom, Rooters ,Boncs etc.... No kudos for the management in that scenario but What A marketing gift for the club! .... But no. So you are right... I was over generous in 9 out of 10 for marketing etc, .
