soundgarden were f**king awesome!!!!

cornell could really sing. The pitch and vibrato he got was unreal. Still got a great voice but nothing like it used to be!

Ken oath mate.

Soundgarden were and still are my favourite all time band. Why ? Not because of Cornell or Matt Cameron, but because of Kim Thayall ... the huge American Indian who was such a guitar god to me and all my guitar loving mates. Noone knows where Kim is these days ... but f**k get him back out there.

Soundgarden WERE Grunge.

Talking Heads < Definately!

I've still play thier "Stop Making Sense" live CD from time to time.

The movie is easy to find on any files sharing site. Not sure if its still available on DVD, but fo me its one of the best live recordings I've ever seen.

Personaly I'm a huge fan of Tool, but I cant see them ever being a popular band, their music doesn't get much air play except for stations like JJJ.

I guess they are an acquired taste.

Sorry but Talking Heads were the f**kingorst band of all time next to INXS, there is absolutely nothing good about them, they epitomise everything bad about the 80's.

Now where was i?

Oh

- DIO
- Ratt
- Icehouse
- W.A.S.P
- Badlands
- STP
- Faith no more
- Queit Riot

You're well and truly stuck in the 80s ... and I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Under - rated ?

fuggen Talking Heads were huge so I don't know how they are considered under-rated.

I think Ron is getting his under -rated and over -rated mixed up. :)
but seriously
all thse bands Ron mentions suck harder than a drunk fat girl at schoolies.

but seriously

IMO
The Clouds should have been huge
Falling Joys same goes
Died pretty same goes
The cult probably should have been a lot bigger
Baby Animals should of been fuggen super stars
a band from Brissy called Rollerball sh*t all over Jet and Wolfmother and they have for a while now but nobody has heard of them.

Your wrong, well apart maybe from STP and Faith noMore, but W.A.S.P, Ratt, Badlands were all bands that had a one or two good albums but were never consistent.

Bandlands singer ( i thing it was Ray Gillian, previously with Black Sabbath) could never fullfill there portential because basically the guy dies from aids.

W.A.S.P, apart from there first 2 albums never continued there wining streak, although the Crimson Idol album is there best imo, but failed when it came to sales.

Ratt, there first 2 albums were huge in America, one went triple platinum, one double, and although there albums after that went platinum, they never made any impact overseas, apart from Japan.

DIO, a massive talent, had success with Rainbow then Sabbath, but never really sustained success over a number of years.
