Gotta also say he is LONG odds at winning tonight, not that it means much in a one on one sport.

But most consider that Geale will win easily. Where to from there for "the Man" if he indeed does lose?

His payday's are certainly on the downward spiral, and this not only affects his ability to earn but his "mates" in Money Bill and Quade "Parra wanted me for $700K per, now Im worth less than Purtell" Cooper.

Geale and Co aren't interested in making part time boxers rich so their gravy train is soon running out of juice.

He should give the PM a call, I'm sure she could appoint him as an ALP senator by the end of the week.

Name me one boxer who has cred that he beat? He lost to Kessler, lost to Ottke, hell he even lost to a boxer who was on a reality show!
As well as Manny Siaca!!!

He acts like has won as many titles as Floyd Mayweather, when in fact he is a boxing nobody on the world stage.

Dude, I am not here to defend Mundine.

So you are saying; Greene and Geale have no cred; your words not mine.

Give me a break, the bloke has held world titles and beaten world rated boxers and a lot of taxi drivers throughout his career.

I'm just saying talk fact not ficition.

I dont know who "Greene" is but Danny Green is not excactly elite and as stated before by others he was wasted by the time they fought.
Daniel Geale at the time was not all that either....now he is and if Mundine wins then he will have beaten someone with cred.
The way Mundine talks it is as though he has beaten Mayweather, Jones jnr (in his prime), and every other top notch boxer from 2000 onwards....when in reality he has done nothing to match his ego.

Lionel Rose , now thats a champion. Humble , honest and hardworking.

Mundine : mouth of the south with no class, dishonest ( look at management team and tell me otherwise ), works hard in the gym , but lacks knockout punch.

And fights ...well...dudes like me. Well past their prime

Sorry, always thought it was spelt with an "e". Ok, it is your opinion Green and Geale have no cred, I for one don't accept that.

Oh yeah, great world champion; he took on Harada and the Mexicans - great boxer who struggled with his weight to defend his title. Lost his title to "Hall of Fame" legend Reuben Olivares when he had to lose 7 pounds in two days to make the weight.

At the time they fought Geale was not exactly thought of as boxing elite.
Now he is way up there after his Germany efforts.
Danny Green is ok, but not elite elite.

Given the history of boxing; the 3 legitimate belts are the WBC, WBA and IBF. The IBO, WBF, IBC and WBO are blow-ins.

Love him or loathe him, Mundine has been a recognised World Champion in boxing, to say different is not recognising Ali, Foreman, Leonard, Hagler etc as world champions.

And as pointed out there was always a super champ above him when he had the WBA regular belt

When the boxers you have named held titles there was no such thing in existence and it's only the WBA that has it

Anyone with a slight interest in boxing knows that world titles are a dime a dozen; the question is where they recognised world titles: answer - yes they were. You can say the same for Green and Geale's world titles. What is the point - was he a recognised world champ - yes, he was.

Again, you are runnning fiction, not fact - Ali, Foreman, Leonard and Hagler, all fought in the era of the WBA, WBC and IBF.

Don't let your bias against Mundine destroy the true facts.

Do I like the bloke - no. Is he a classy boxer - Yes.

When he took Green apart he was probably the best Super Middleweight in the world, but that was a fair while ago.

If I was having a punt, I would say Geale on points.

Strange, I believe Mundine was at his peak that night and probably would have beaten any super middle weight in the world at that time

This is the type of hype that Mundine unfortunately believes.

Beat any super middleweight in the world at the time? Please... Joe Calzaghe, Mikkel Kessler and Andre Ward say hello.

The only one destroying facts here is you

For starters fact - Ali, Foreman, Leonard and Hagler, never fought in the era of the BS WBA super champion status

NOBODY thinks the regular WBA champ is a legit belt when there is a super champion

Dude, they fought in the era of spilt world titles - rarely, has someone unified all the different associations' world titles.

We are going in circles, he held a recognised world title whether you like that or not. Did he hold the WBA Super World Champion Title - no.
