Say what you want about Anthony, but those who have met him know he's nothing like what you see in front of the camera. I have met him a few times and to this day he's one of the nicer athletes I have met. Through my line of work I have met Meninga, Daley, Preston Campbell and co. Anthony was the most genuine out of the lot of them. He donates a lot of his money and time to charities and helps out with fundraisers. He does all this stuff quietly. Away from the cameras, he's really humble and actually a pretty shy guy.

I dont care if he's mother f**king teresa away from the cameras. On them he's a classless, gutless, racist piece of shit. And frankly an embarrassment to australian sport

Nah, well Ainscough got given the player of the year medal as a conciliation prize for handing Melbourne the title. The only thing I'll give Mundine credit for is the inspiration for what was (at least at the time) Melbourne's biggest winning margin.

Back on topic though, I just watched the press conference where Kent is taking him to task. He really is a germ and an embarrassment. He's too concerned with maintaining his hip hop swagger and trying to talk like a rapper he can't even speak English properly. He makes Jamie Soward look eloquent by comparison.

"He doesn't rep the streets" says Mundine of Geale. What a deadset f**karse. Mundine's entire publicity machine has been built around his own exploitation of the struggles and historical treatment of his own people. Geale's manager says it best I think;

Personally I think Mundine and $BW should be fused at the knob and dropped into South Central LA in the middle of a Bloods and Crips gang war.

I like it, it would certainly test their gangster image. They would squeal like pussies.

Mate, here is an idea - do the belts he have state 'world champion' - Ans: Yes.

We all know the limitations of having various bloodly associations. Shite - I even heard of the IBU (International Boxing Union) belt and there is probably a IBC.

I agree the IBO is on the boundary of being legit, but ask a number of Super Champions who have held a title from that organisation, were they any good. Do you want me to name them?

There is the door, please close it on your way out.

Nobody said the super champ is not legit you idiot

Anyone who follows boxing says the regular WBA champ is bogus becuse you can't have two world champions in the same division both holding WBA belts

Look at their site http://wbanews.com/artman/publish/campionshipChampions/index.shtml

Are you trying to say that Povetkin is a legit world heavyweight title holder when Wlad Klitschko is ranked above him by the same organisation?

Yes he should of scored. Was no need to pass. More chance of something going wrong by passing. Turning point yes. Did it cost them the gf maybe. They did score again after Melbourne scored. They got back in control. Bartrim missed the conversion and Wishart dropped ball straight from kick off. Don't see wishart getting the blame. He played in 3 grand final in the space of 4 years with 3 different teams. Won 1 premiership or does that only not count for him. Better players have not won premierships and worse have won more.

I have also meet him, Daley and Meniga and I would agree with you, but that does not excuse how he acts on camera.

Also he will not be remembered for how he acted off camera because the memory's of a few will not outlast the vast amounts of footage of him acting like an idiot.

Who says, You! If the WBA wants to run its association with a Super Champion and a World champ; that is for them.

There are that many associations and that many world champions, who are the real world champions in each divisions is anyone's guess. The older brigrade argue that the Super or Light divisions are not acceptable; only the old weight divisions are legit.

You are a tosser, did Mundine hold a world title belt? Yes

The Klitschkos are a perfect example; which one is the real world champion.

For christsake give it a rest; Mundine was the regular world champ with a super world champ above him, but as said he was a (regular) world champion.

I noticed you did not ask me to name former IBO title holders (which you do not give cred to, as you know some of the biggest names in boxing have held titles for that association)

Is your name Anthony Mundine by chance?

Only an idiot would consider Povetkin is a legit world champion

And you avoid the facts

I have stated quite clearly that Mundine has held the regular world title for the WBA (Super middleweight) and a world title for the IBO (middleweight); I even published this. What facts have I avoided?

If you dont like the guy, that is fine. I'm not a great supporter of his pre-fight antics; but I will say this, he is without a doubt a top sportsperson - anyone who can do what he did in league then boxing is no uncoordinated two left feet type person. Brains upstairs - no; believes he is Australia's answer to Ali but comes over as a goose.

mate if you truely consider anyone that has held a belt a legit world champion it cheapens the sport immensely, since Mundine started fighting there would have been close to 1000 men hold various belts in the sport of boxing. Sure he's got a belt that says world champion but that's the equivalent of the QRL declaring the Qld cup winners world champions, or IOC declaring all silver and bronze medalists Olympic champions.
Is he technically a world champion, yes but the reality is he's not
