Even though Feagai has been good I would like to see Ramsey on the wing for his extra speed. Otherwise the backline is dependent on Sloan for longer range breakouts and tries.

I think that will be very close to Hook's starting side round 1. Personally I don't like Bird in the 2nd row, we've got plenty of bigger guys and better defenders can do that, I'd even put Suli there ahead of Bird. We need Bird in the Centres creating and getting us points even if it means pushing Suli or Lomax onto the wing or as I just said putting Suli in the pack. I want Kerr on the bench too with Burgess, Lawrie and Bud.

I'm not sure Ramsey has anything to offer but speed. He can't catch, his defence is poor and he has no idea when to race in and cut off a sweeping attack - he should watch Rava - and he rarely comes infield to get involved , he's no Blacklock or Nightie that's for sure. Dufty had speed and skill to burn and was a try scoring ( and assisting) machine and was told he wasn't needed but we keep a guy like Ramsey ? It's perplexing, maybe because him and Rava are our only specialist wingers (if you can call Ramsey that). The Feagais are also defensively suspect ( they'll come good with experience in 1sts) but they're around 15kg's heavier than Ramsey, play pretty well positionally with their centres and have the potential to become very good, reliable first graders - they slotted in seamlessly when given the opportunity.
Maybe the new Blackhawks recruit can be the one we need in the number 2 jersey.

I agree, no please. If that young Reuben fella can get into the team, he would kill it. We need someone who is robust and full of speed. Don't know how he is with his defence, but he can be hardened up in that department. Just think - Rava on one side and Reuben on the other. The two R's.

Reuben is 28 and has never played NRL. I doubt he's the answer.

think Ramsey will get first crack at left wing - he has more upside than many on here give him credit. His body was not up to it last year, I'm predicting a big improvement.

McGuire is a liability w the refs - they watch him like a hawk and seems to have some dark voodoo on teams he plays in - when back he is bench at most IMO - woods, molo, lawrie and if fit burgess are ahead of him

Yes people tend to forget it was Cody's 1st season in 1st grade and is tough for any young kid to last the distance. Yes he had some dropsies as a winger and fullback but he was not alone there.
Yes his balance and running style needs a bit of tweek but he has got the speed and no doubt that will be worked on.
He got knocked around a bit and was battling a bit of injury for a fair chunk of the year
I still remember a game against Cronulla where he filled in for Dufty and was having a good game in attack until he got injured near half time in a tackle from behind.
he will be better for the 2021 run.
The kid can play and as a winger most times he was in the position in attack and times defence where he needed to be.
I would not be cashing him in at all yet.
Sloan is my preferred FB, but Cody will be hot on his heels and has showed more than both Feagai's for me at this stage and deserves first crack at wing
