Nathan Hindmarsh to retire at end of 2012 ?

No thanks. If I had to choose who to leave out between Glenn Stewart, Watmough, T-Rex or Hindmarsh, the decision would be simple, Hindmarsh would be warming the bench (if he was lucky).

Hindy has been great over a number of years and I have no reason to doubt he is a good bloke but to start claiming that in 2012 he'd be a certainty to make any starting side is a bit rich.

T-Rex over Hindmarsh you have to be joking!

Since you speak for all clubs and most others on here Thommo please explain how he got picked in the up coming all stars game?

From memory selection is made by the fans...

Who do you support?
If it's not Parra, would you take him in your team over another second rower, based on how he is playing right now (which was what the question was)?

How seriously do the fans take the All Stars game? Do you think the majority of League fans voted for the players in that game.....I don't think so.

Hahaha thats ok, you guys can stick with matt prior lol

I don't recall saying Matt Prior was anything special.
But I wouldn't take Hindmarsh over our other second rowers, which was what I was replying too. And given Matt Prior doesn't play in the second row for us, your point has no relevance.

In 2012, absolutely. At his best, I would have taken Hindy for sure but on current form, T-Rex without question. I realise rep selections are not absolute indicators but T-Rex just toured with the Kangaroos while Hindy doesn't get a look in from rep selectors because he's just not up to it.

Most fair minded people can admit Hindmarsh was a very good player in his prime. The last few years in particular he has dropped away, as happens to all players when they come towards the end of their careers. His first few years were excellent.

Just heard on the radio that he's rubbished the claims

Yeah, he denied the story yesterday & it was on tv last night. It still might happen in 2012, but either way he's going to be questioned about it until he makes an announcement.

:lol::lol::lol:

So only the Hindmarsh lovers voted in the All Stars game.

The true league fans who actually hate Hindmarsh are just too serious to vote in a silly game like this.

So Raiders fans will shout and cheer about how Dugan is the best in the game because he gets picked to play for the All Stars, but Hindmarsh gets picked there and it means nothing?

For the record I don't think Hindy is anywhere near the best second rower in the League, just pointing out the lunacy of some idiots.

Did I say that?

Who else are the fans going to vote for besides Hindmarsh and/or Hayne for Parra?
Most fans like Hindmarsh as a person, does that mean they rate him as a player?

I love the bloke and I hope he plays until he's ready to go. Gives it all he's got and is a Rugby League man through and through.

And for the record, I'd take the bloke at the Tigers now in a heartbeat. He gives everything he has every week.

He is the anti-Te'o.

i think the main thing that has disturbed the public that SW is missing isn't the fact that he says hindy isn't a superstar, most agree but the fact that how he makes Hindy sound like he is in the same backrow class as danny galea.
