Looking at the players involved now im really surprised about NY letting Sweetney go.

He was deemed untouchable by isiah and they talked him up all last season. Now his traded off. Surprising!!

Sweetney dropped down the pecking order alot with the arrival of Lee and Frye this season. Sweetney is also quickly becoming a new Kemp/Baker.

Damn!

Thats a risky trade for the Knicks. Not only does Curry have a heart condition but he has never been a consistent performer. Chicago will be very happy with the accquisition of Tim Thomas and Sweetney.

Who would want tim thomas?

Curry got passed fit to play by a handful of specialist and has improved each season he is in the league (still only 22 remember).

bogut might be seeing less time than we thought I think they made this move because they were less than impressed with Bogut's pre season form as was i

Bogut will probably just play more power forward, seeing as Joe Smith is struggling with injury, and their overall frontcourt depth is not great.

His pre season form has not been great, but he has only been getting 5 or 6 shots per game, and most of those are put backs off rebounds. They need to run some plays for him, and see how he goes.

Not a good sign for Bogut, especially when you considered they released Puchulia to make room for him, which is now being taken away. Milwakees team is looking very strong now. Solid front court with Bogut, Magloire, Smith and Gadzuric whilst they have good depth in the 1-3 positions with Redd, Ford, Williams, Kukoc. They should improve on last season

Man, I just realised how sexy teh N.O. teams looking now, 3 high flyers in Chris "the Birdman" Anderson, JR Smith and Desmond Mason, and with flashy rookie guard Chris Paul delivering the outlet passes. I can see N.O. doing good things, not great things but good things.

Anything for them is better than last season. What was it? 10 wins around about.

True, but that team isn't going to be able to stop anyone on D...

D is all about 5 players working hard together, not just 2 or 3 good defenders. Birdman is a good weak side help defender/blocker but will get abused one-on-one.

I wonder whether David West will finally get a decent run. Hornets have had a big rap on him for a long time now. Hes got a solid PF build and he could prove very handy for them.

Also the news is Mason isnt happy with the trade and might chuck a Jimmy Jackson on the Hornets.
