so far so good for the Lakers...killing them on the boards and my 6 points or more is looking ok. Foul trouble is an issue for some players

Really like the way Kobe is playing. Within the flow of the game. Gasol's been good on the boards.

Wow Garnett haha. Not the Celtics night. Ive seen enouh though to think they will get game 2 with a better rebounding effort and getting PP more involved.

Artest was awesome in defense. Plus he made his shots. Such an improvement over Radmanovic. Bynum was also big when he was on.

Final score 102-89.

Ron Ron hit some big threes...his shooting technique looks a bit weird, but he had success tonight and won me some $$$

Easy money for you.

Kobe with 30 points 7 rebounds 6 assists. Controlled the game well and didn't force it. Gasol with 23 points, 14 boards and 3 blocks. Played a great second fiddle.

KG was worrying. Ray Allen was taken out of the game by the refs. Expect more from him in Game 2. Rondo brought it, can't falt his effort.

Only caught the second half but will watch the whole game tonight. Gotta say, the Celtics will not allow as many offensive boards again this series. From where I was watching (middle of a crowded pub with no sound and 10 feet from a small screen), there seemed to be a lot of non-calls in that second half, mixed in with some ticky-tack calls (in other words - a standard NBA game).

Hopefully the refs hold their whistles in Game 2. Just way too many whistles and too many players getting into foul trouble.

Expect Game 2 to be alot closer. I'd be shocked if the Celtics let Kobe get into the paint as much as he did today for the rest of the series.

Yeah, seemed to be a few missed rotations from the Celtics. From where I was watching they were a step slow the whole game, from getting to loose balls, on the glass (out-rebounded 42-31), and just hesitant to attack in the half court.

Pierce had a good second half but the 5th foul on Ray Allen - sheesh there was about 3 inches between him and Kobe....

Typical at Staples I suppose, surprised they didn't T Perkins up....

Eh, I thought there were ticky-tack fouls on both sides.

As for the foul your referring to. It was a pretty bad call. But I'll say this. You know the game is being called tight. Soft calls are being called on both sides. Checking Ray Allen into the 3rd quarter, with 4 fouls, was always a risky play.

Surprising note. Nate Robinson had a +10 for the game, no doubt that was when the Celtics were making their mini-comeback in the 4th. A bit surprised we didn't see more Perkins. He wasn't really in any foul trouble throghout the game.
