Lebron to Miami seems to be the big topic now. I personally want to see him in Miami with Wade and Bosh...

Chicago would still be a nice fit for Lebron. Plus there wouldn't be any alpha dog issues. Just sign a shooter (Korver, Redick) and thats one hell of a team.

Nets sign Outlaw to 5 year $35m deal and Haywood stays with Mavs on a 6 year $55m deal. Rumours also that JO has agreed a 2 year deal with Boston for the full MLE.

My thoughts on O'Neal haven't changed, I think Outlaw's good value / fit for the Nets and Haywood at that price is probably reasonable value as well.

I don't mind the Haywood deal, just think its too long. He's already 30 turning 31 in November. Then again he hasn't logged major minutes in his career so maybe his age (and years in the league) is a bit deceiving?

There's been so much talk of Lebron to the Heat that it makes me think that its just a smokescreen to add suspense to his TV special. I think he stays in Cleveland. If he did leave them, not only would it kill the franchise, but he'd be torturing Cavs fans on Live TV. I don't think he'd do that

My understanding is the money is going to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, or at least the proceeds or something. So he's not exactly doing this to make money.

But Ridders, I do believe he would do that to Cleveland. I honestly feel he's leaving, why else would he not agree to meet a prospective new coach a few weeks ago? People are writing the Nets off, I still think they're there, as are the Knicks and Heat. If he goes to the Heat he's basically announcing he can't win a rin by himself. Knicks and Nets (or if he stays with the Cavs) he remains the man on the team, with the Heat would be option 1 or 2?

If he did join Miami I think he'd definitely become the No.2 scoring option. I think he'd embrace a Magic like role.

If he does end up announcing that he's leaving Cleveland, boy would that be cold. To leave them would be bad enough for Cavs fans. But to announce it on a contrived TV event would be even worse. Tbh I interpreted the TV special as a sign that he would re-sign with the Cavs. But it seems that I may be wrong.

This Lebron coverage on ESPN is ridiculous!

One thing is for sure if LeBron and Wade team up - they wouldn't need a traditional point guard. Those two could do all the creating, leave Chalmers (or any other minimum contract free agent like Jason Williams) to spot up to shoot threes and defend. Mike Miller would be a great small ball fit (Wade-Chalmers-Bosh-James-Miller), but there's no way he's signing for the minimum when he could get offers well above the MLE elsewhere. If they can hang onto Beasley and use him as a scoring 6th man, they'll be pretty freaking awesome as well, not to mention bring back Haslem on the minimum (something I reckon he'd be willing to do). Maybe Juwan Howard to rebound and defend, and / or Kurt Thomas. One of those guys will take the minimum somewhere to contend for a ring. So players like J-Will, Haslem, Howard and Thomas would be prepared to take the minimum IMO (at their age they're not getting big money from anyone). They're your veterans to get to a solid 9-man rotation. Then you take your three second round picks from this year's draft and / or other second round picks that aren't picked up by other teams and you get up to the league minimum of 13 players.

3 stars / superstars, a former 2nd overall pick, 5 other rotational players and the best available young talent you can get your hands on to develop and learn from James / Wade / Bosh. Might not dominate every night but that should get to 60+ wins and definitely competes for the title.

I can see him doing it intentionally.

I do think he stays at the Cavs though. If he goes to someone elses team, even if he does become the number 1 option then it taints his quest to be the best.

I hate working a desk job... What time aus will he announce it? I'll try and head to the pub for it

If the Miami Thrice did get together, I don't think they'd win in their first season, but from season 2 on, they'd be a juggernaut.

I wonder what Chicago would do if they miss out on him. They'd still have a pretty talented roster as well as having a ton of cap space.

The TV event starts at 11am, goes for an hour. Not sure whether he'll make the announcement at the start or end
