I think it was reported he will make the decision in the first 5 mintues, welcome to the LeBron James Show lol.

Travis Outlaw to the Nets, he's a handy pick up, bout time the Nets got something.
Did Outlaw play for Portland a few years ago and he was playing really well.

Hey guys, can anyone tell me, why the Nets are taking so long moving to Brooklyn, would thing of been different if they had of pulled there finger out and got to Brooklyn now, with LeBron, would that be why no big namers have gone to the Nets.

Outlaw had a good streak going in the 2007-08 [82 games] and 2008-09 [81 games] seasons at Portland, averaged 13.04 points while hitting 0.79 triples per game. He is one of my favourites, although I'm a sucker for the 'tradesman's' of the NBA.

I still don't think he is worth $7M a season though or am I just used to a superstar in the NBL getting a max of $250k?

They're building a new Arena in Brooklyn which is expected to be finished in 2012, hence why they have to spend 2 years of purgatory in Newark.

Watching this stuff now on ESPN, if LeBron leaves Cleveland, they're going to explode in that city, he'll have to sneak back in, pack his sh#t and get out fast.

I have a feeling he might stay.

I'm hoping he goes to the Nets. Billionaire owner, Jay-Z and a re-building club. But that is highly doubtful.

The development was objected to for a long time IIRC. Sketchy on the details but some protest group took the development to court and it was before the various courts for a year to two I think. Then the previous owner was looking for a buyer for the Nets and was not prepared to invest any money to start the development prior to selling.

$7m is probably right about what Outlaw is worth IMO. He's a solid player who was injured for a large chunk of last year, so he's dropped off the radar a bit. Hit a number of big shots for the Blazers a couple of years ago when they were first breaking out with Roy & Aldridge (pre-Oden). Good mid-range shooter but not a consistent 3-point threat, good length and still young enough to improve I think (drafted straight from high school from memory). At this point, the Nets desperately needed a wing who can hit shots and create for himself - Outlaw is a solid investment as he ticks both boxes.

Fair call Tiger Hawk. Outlaw likes to block shots as well, I wonder how his fantasy value will go this season as he will be a starter, only started in 34 appearances out of the 400 games he has played.

PG: HARRIS/Uzoh
SG: LEE
SF: OUTLAW/Williams/Ross
PF: HUMPHRIES
C: LOPEZ/Zoubek/Boon

The Gortat trade isn't confirmed.

As i'm a Magic fan, pls be doing a deal for Al Jefferson lol, that wont happen i don't think, it better not be Darko.

I think the T-Wolves have chosen Darko over Al Jefferson, hence the 4-year $20M deal. So Al Jefferson is on the block.

Favours will start ahead of Humphries, who they're looking to trade I think.

But yeah, Outlaw's ideal situation is a scoring 6th man, where he excelled for the Blazers. Not sure he has the defensive chops to be a full-time, 35 mpg starter so on that basis $7m might be a touch high. But they needed a SF and with James (likely) & Gay off the board, you could argue he was the next best available.

Yeah nothing concrete on the Gortat front. Jefferson doesn't make a lot of sense as it would likely result in a complete overhaul of the Magic's offensive structure. Although, given they've not won with that structure, might not be a bad thing. With a front-court of Dwight, Al & Lewis, they'd certainly have some options, Dwight could cover Al defensively, Al is the second option they don't have, but still, big call by the Magic if it happens.

If it isn't for Al, no way the Wolves have anything else worth trading for a starting-calibre NBA centre.

I forgot about Derrick Favors, Jordan Crawford and Tibor Pleiss.

Although the Magic are looking at Al Harrington as well, he will fit right in with the 3-point offence.

Crawford is at the Hawks & Pleiss at the Thunder.

Nets drafted Favors and have Damion James (swapped picks with Hawks).
