Something like that - if he doesn't sign a contract and plays overseas for 4 or 5 years, he's eligible for the draft again.

Hope it doesn't happen but until the team starts to form an identity / the GM starts making somewhat logical or defensible moves I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to come over.

I'd say they would trade his rights before that happens. It is pretty common that the 3rd off season the player gets traded but if there is a lock out next year that could mess it up.

After Dan Gilbert questioned LeBron's performances during the play-offs, Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo has had a swipe at Bosh (albeit slightly more tame):

I think that last part is spot on. They made a lot of moves over the years to try and improve but with Bosh being the number 1 guy there nothing just seemed to work. Him down in Miami will be the best thing to ever happen to him, legacy wise.

Rockets trade center Andersen to Raptors

HOUSTON (AP) -- The Houston Rockets have traded center David Andersen to Toronto for cash and a future second-round draft pick.

The 6-foot-11 Australian averaged 5.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 63 games last season, his first in the NBA. Andersen helped fill the void for Houston while Yao Ming sat out last season with a foot injury. Yao is expected to return healthy this season, and the Rockets signed free agent center Brad Miller to back him up.
The Rockets acquired Andersen's rights from Atlanta last July, not long after Yao announced he would have foot surgery and probably miss the 2009-10 season.
Andersen was a second-round draft choice of the Hawks in 2002. He had previously played in Europe, most recently in the Spanish League with FC Barcelona.

Understand Josh Howard has agreed to a one yeard deal with the Wiz for $4m. Whilst he's coming off an injury, am surprised he couldn't get more interest. Has his faults but still a fairly solid player.

Josh Howard's ACL injury probably scared of potential suitors. Reading that he may not be fit for the start of the season, and even when he does come back, will take him a season to fully get over the injury.

Chalmers-Wade-James-Bosh-Ilgauskas as my starting 5.

Miller-Haslem-Arroyo rounding out the 8 man rotation.

Jones-House-Howard-Magloire-Anthony-Pittman to wave towels and provide some energy and hustle when needed.

The way the Heat have assembled this roster, picking quality role players with specific skill-sets has been superb. They could have gone with some sexier names, like McGrady or Shaq or Iverson, but would have risked upsetting the whole cart. I won't be rooting for them, but it will take a monster effort to stop them winning the title next year.

So has T-Mac to the Bulls died?

Been reading that Shaq wants to join a contender AND get the full mid level exception. Ain't happening

I'm not sure the Heat would take a flyer on a young, needs to prove himself shoot first point guard. I also think they're set at the position with Chalmers, Arroyo, Wade & House.

I'd like to see him on the Nets. They're thin at PG and he would be free to lead a pretty ordinary second unit.

Not sure he'd get much more of a run in New Jersey with Harris, Farmar and Dooling on the roster.

Indiana would be a good option for Mills. They definitely need another point guard.

He did to. My bad.

I was wondering why Farmar joined the Nets since I recall reading that he wanted a starting gig, then I remembered that Devin Harris is always likely to miss some time during the season through injury, so it all made sense.
