Both of the Pacers' trades are official now.

http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/pacers_trades_release_080709.html

In a deal with Toronto, the Pacers acquired T.J. Ford, Rasho Nesterovic, Maceo Baston and Roy Hibbert (the 17th overall pick in June’s NBA draft) for Jermaine O’Neal and Nathan Jawai (the 41st pick in the draft). In a trade with Portland, the Pacers receive Jarrett Jack, Josh McRoberts and Brandon Rush (13th overall pick in the draft) in exchange for Ike Diogu and Jerryd Bayless (the 11th pick in the draft).

Finally the Pacers are doing something productive!

Camby to the Clippers for a second rounder. Wow, that's an interesting move by the Clips:

Camby
Kaman
Thornton
Mobley
Davis

Not a bad starting 5 but will they be playing through Kaman now?

Thats such a good deal for the Clippers. a 2nd rounder? Far out. Crazy what teams will do to not pay that tax!

I think Camby will spend a lot of time at the 4 and be a good teacher for Deandre. Going to be interesting to see how they play next year..

Thomas, Mobley and Camby all expire at the same time also for the big FA off season. Could LA land someone big and turn them around?

Poor Knicks stuck with Z-Bo haha nobody will touch him now. Interesting to see if Josh Smith takes a long deal or takes a one year deal and tries his luck again next off season..

Was thinking the same thing. Remember around March or so he was ranked in the top 10 but by draft was expecting to mid-late first round. In the second round he's a bit of a steal and could turn out to be fantastic. Then again.........

Agreed Camby for a second rounder is decent but they had so much cap space it seems odd they'd absorb Camby and his declining game. Still, didn't realise that those three all come off at the same time, gotta be circa $25m off the books in one go and in 2010 could mean a LeBron player.

Rumour - Artest + Kenny Thomas FOR Odom

Also, Ronny Turiaf has signed an offer sheet with the Warriors. Lakers have a week to match it...

Posey's a good pick-up for the hornets, they finally have a guy with experience at the championship level. I'm still very mixed on the Odom-Artest deal. While picking up Artest would be great in terms of picking up a lock-down defender who can drop 20 a night, Odom's just such a unique player, it would be shame to see him go.

Rumour that the Pacers are trying to trade Jamal Tinsley for Udonis Haslem, can't see heat doing it tbh. Tinsley has too much baggage and Larry Bird already confirmed he will be buying out Tinsley before the season if they can't trade him.

only reason i could see this happening is that

A - Miami need a PG badly, whether Tinsley is the answer is another question
B - With both Marion and Beasley on the team, Riley might feel that they have enough there to compensate for the loss of Haslem.

Personally i wouldn't make the trade, but then again, stranger things have happened

Unless the Hornets start playing major small ball, I don't like the Posey pick up. I like Posey, but if I'm the Hornets I'm getting a big, not another wing. But, we'll see. 2 rings in 3 years and integral in both runs isn't anything to sneeze at.

Saw a rumour that Ron Artest may be going to Detroit. Doubt it will happen though, too hard to play Prince and Ron in the same team, and I don't see Pistons trading Prince.

I think Posey moves Peja to the 2 and rotates with Mo Pete. Posey is good from 3 and a lock down defender. They have their D with Posey taking the best wing and Chandler in the paint. Bonzi doesn't return imo which makes the trade for Mike James look a tad ehhh because of his contract(though they did need someone who could take PG minutes)..

I am dying to see where Livingston ends up. I really liked his game and hope he comes back. I'd like to see him end up some where like the Jazz where he can be a back up for two years and see if he comes good.

Interesting to see Childress considering going to europe.

Europe offers players tax free money (the teams pay the players taxes and some of the numbers ive seen that players get taxed in the usa is crazy!!), less games, life style and the euro is very strong.

Hmm sound familiar??? I think they will continue to nab mostly euros back home but still I love seeing them in the NBA so it would be a shame if they left.
