Forum fav James Harden has just had a pretty poor half lol.

Anyway, i really like Denver, no superstars but plenty of good players with lots of length and athleticism. Fun to watch.

And Gortat is very underrated, hard to believe Orlando had a centre rotation of him and Dwight.

Totally agree.

I was about to pose a question on what the most underrated starting 5 is in the league.

I think Denver and the Suns would be right up there.

Not flashy...just get things done.

That Magic Gortat trade really never made sense. Granted he wanted more time but they finally had a guy to back up Dwight and they traded him away(Plus a huge expiring in Carter AND a 1st round pick) for the toxic contract of Türkoğlu and J-Rich? Ugh they are a horribly run organisation at times.

Denver is definately up there.

I havent had a chance to see a lot of teams so far this season(Including the suns) so its hard to say for me. But from what I have seen, Denver is definately up there.

I hope Javalee can get some minutes this season, I know he is a bonehead but that doesnt preclude someone from being a star...If someone is willing to work with him and more importantly can get HIM willing to work then it could really payoff.

I dont think Gortat was ever going to be content to sit behind Dwight, there just arent enough good centres in the L, especially back then. Centre position is having a mini resurgence last two or so years.

Agree with the bold but wanna add they have been unlucky aswell.

Penny Hardawys horrible injury luc ruined his career.

Then they had Tmac and Grant Hill but couldnt keepl on the court.

They Had Dwight and a good squad(they went to the finals not long ago) but just couldnt get over the top and Dwight didnt wanna hang around.

But yeah they've made some terrible moves.

Penny
Shaq
Tmac
Hill
Dwight

Thats five players with HOF talent even if they didnt have HOF careers and no rings to show for it.

Agreed which is part of what makes the deal so bad. They gave away a very good Centre + assets for junk and it is not as if Gortat was a scrub when he was at the Magic. He was very solid!

1-4. Gordon Hayward of all people contained Kobe. The Lakers are not as good as they think they are.

Give them time BM, i think theyll get it. The heat sucked at first too, remember all the chatter about Wade and James not being able to co exist etc And eveyone wanting the coach fired.

The Heat didn't have ageing stars with limited time left and the one star in his prime coming off contract.

If they don't win a ring this year there's no guarantee they even have Dwight next year.

No worries. Lakers are just trying to lull the rest of the league into a fall sense of security :sarcasm:

Dunno if that's a good thing. Imo both Melo and Amare seem to play their best ball when the other is off the court.

Couple of surprises so far; T-Wolves starting 3-1 without Love or Rubio and the Mavs starting 4-1 without Dirk.

Also any news on Bynum? I was legit pumped to see him this season.

I have a bone to pick with Bradley Beal

Had a $10 multi on a few games today paying $130, all favourites to cover the spread... every leg won, all i had to do was sit back and watch the final 14 seconds play out with Boston covering the 7.5 spread... with 0.6 seconds this peanut Beal, decides to lay it up for 2... you're down by 8 you f**king pelican, run the clock out and shake hands!
This mug owes me $130

Yeah.. Kidd has been great moving the ball around so far.. he might help the situation when amare gets back otherwise if he stifles the offence and they can't play well after a month I wonder if they'd go down the road of trade.

I can't see the Lakers or Dwight not wanting to re-sing. Dwight has f**k all to whinge about now, he is in the biggest market in the L with a gun team. It would be a stupid move for both if they parted ways.

Nice line from Michael Beasley yesterday: 21 points, 15 rebounds, 7 dimes and 3 blocks.

Its a shame him and OJ haven't got it togethor yet, both very talented players, i can remember expecting a lot out of Rose. Beas and Mayo, only Rose lived up to it.

OJ has started well for the Mavs, numbers up across the board. Hopefully he can keep it going, we need some young 2s to step it up, all the best young guards are playing the point.

So Lakers fire Mike Brown 5 games into the year.

Smooth move Lakers. lol.

Granted I don't rate Mike Brown's coaching but they were installing a brand new offense with brand new pieces.

Shit...Miami were what...2-7 through first 9 games in their first year...something like that? Maybe wrong but I remember they weren't that great and people were calling for Spo's head....

Who you think will be the replacement? Jerry Sloan?

I think Mike D'Antoni (sorry for spelling) is a smokey....Nash and Howard in his system....although Kobe may hate it.
