funny pic aside.. interesting how much Boozers rebs are down compared to the last few years
The 2009-10 Lakers met with President Obama yesterday, which happened to only be a few days after Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls beat Los Angeles 88-84.
Obama you see, is a Bulls fan. So naturally, the president saw an opportunity to zing Kobe. What Obama probably wasn't ready for, was for Kobe to zing him right back. Via ESPN LA:
"Derrick Rose may have your number," President Obama lightheartedly jabbed at Kobe Bryant as the team posed for a photograph after presenting the president with an autographed replica 2009-10 championship banner, like the one that hangs at Staples Center. And boom goes the dynamite.
"I said, 'If he calls that number, I'll be sure to pick up after the fifth ring,'" Bryant quipped back -- referring, naturally, to the five championship rings he has.
The Trail Blazers inquired with the Hawks about the availability of Jamal Crawford, reports the Oregonian.
The paper cited a Portland player and another source within the organization.
Trail Blazers general manager Rich Cho wasn't successful in talks as the Hawks declined to discuss Crawford.

It looks as if the Nets are getting alot of 1st round picks for a potential trade with the Nuggest for Anthony.
Man how bad is Tyreke going atm? Dude is killing me in fantasy. Do have to give him a bit of slack since he is pretty banged up atm.
The Bulls and Nuggets are discussing a trade that would send J.R. Smith to Chicago.
The Denver guard is in the final year of his contract and would give the Bulls another scoring option in their backcourt.

In all honesty, I think that Smith trade will put the Bulls over the top. Maybe not this year, but given a while to gel etc, a Rose-Smith-Deng-Boozer-Noah starting 5 is friggin awesome. Not that old either.Fair enough about Smith not being a 3... I thought he could still play it night in night out.
^ interesting considering the bulls traded Smith a few years back because of his attitude for a packet of chips.
