Just finished watching the 2nd half and OT of the T'Wolves and Thunder game, it was the Durant and Love show in the 4th, they went shot for shot, Kevin Love can seriously play, if he's not an All-Star i'll give it away, he is so impressive.

How much better can KD get, he just took over the game in the 4th, 16 straight points at one stage.

KD had 47 and 18, plus four 3's.
KL had 31 and 21, plus three 3's.

36 of them coming the second half

Huge fourth quarter from the Knicks. Strange game from Wade, couldn't miss from the field, couldn't hit from the line.

DMC doing work.

Kings beat LA and the Hornets in their last two and Cousins had monster games in both.

27 points, 10 rebounds 2 blocks and 3 steals against LA and
25 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal against the Hornets.

Lakers go down to the Celtics.

Wtf's happened to Gasol? Has been poor lately. Tired I guess.

I guess that's why the Lakers don't consistently play through Gasol. He just can't handle the workload.

Gasol has been shocking for the last 2-3 months, the only player that can hold there head up is Kobe, he tried his guts out and was being very aggressive all night, too bad most of his team mates didnt show up (Fisher/Artest went 2-16 combined lol)

Kobe: 41 points, 0 assists.

Including turnovers and foul shots, he used 34 possessions without a single assist. Wow. Chalk some of that up to teammates missing shots off his passes but still, with the talent around him to not get a single assist while using 34 of the Lakers' 101 possessions is pretty staggering.

That the Lakers managed only 10 assists total seems to indicate an absence of ball movement overall tbh.

I can tell you didnt watch the game, Kobe made the passes but his team mates were not making the shots, an assist is an assist if your team mates can put them in and today, the lakers players were not doing that. Kobe held his own and was very aggressive, he gave his all but sadly the majority of his team mates dont have that same drive right now.

No I didn't watch the game. But a third of his teams' possessions and zero assists speak for itself. As does 10 team assists total - where was the ball movement in general as questioned in my previous post?

Its much easier to look at the box score and make assumptions, Kobe created plays that deserved assists and did move the ball but like i said, Fisher and Artest were 2-16, Gasol was awful, Bynum was awful, the only other player that can keep there head up is Odom.

In no way can this loss be put on Kobe, he brought it but the others didnt follow, Gasol in particular has been awful for a while now and his head and heart just dont seem there, the guy puts in minimal effort and in the Kings game the other day, he ducked away from a rebound lol no joke.

Hang on - where did I "put this loss on Kobe"? I made the observation that he didn't have a single assist despite using a third of his teams' possessions, then I made the observation that the Lakers didn't appear to have played with much ball movement, given only 10 assists were recorded by them in total. This from a team that ranks comfortably in the top 10 in assist rate. Skilled passers like Bryant, Gasol & Odom combined for 3 assists, that must be the lowest combined total since all three cam together? I'm just trying to understand what happened - did Kobe break the offence? Were the other Lakers just spotting up all night?

As for Gasol, I said in November that the Lakers would regret playing him 40 minutes a night whilst Bynum was out and I think they're starting to. Coming off three deep playoff runs, plus the Olympics in 2008, I can understand why he's struggling a bit now. Highly unlikely they'll get top seed back so why not dial the minutes back and give him some rest until the big games come around?

A healthy KG is a huge difference for the Celtics. Look out if Perkins gets back to close to his best.

Healthy the Celtics have improved on last season, the Lakers havent.

I wasnt saying you put the blame on Kobe but was just pointing out that he can not be blamed for it and i think your right bout the 3 assists between Kobe/Pau/Lamar being there lowest total ever lol

Also, i dont think that is Gasols problem, he is just a soft player and he has always been like that, if he doesnt get early touches or get it going early, he goes into his shell, the guy has no heart but i agree that we should play Odom a bit more and let Gasol "rest" and realise that if he doesnt put in the effort his minutes will drop.

I think it's a bit rich to turn on Gasol and call him soft when it's fairly well accepted he's the reason the Lakers have made three straight Finals and won back-to-back titles. But that's just me.
