Dude, Delonte was starting last year and shag and Z took up most of the minutes at 5. Thats three of there most important players that arent there any more, you cannot just dismiss that so easily. As for Boobie, he is a solid part of there rotation, so losing him doesnt help. All im saying is its not all because Lebrons not there, most of it, but not all.
Huh? Deperado missed a chunk of games to start the season, only played 60 and started just 3 times.

Ok, they've lost pretty much all three of last year's centre rotation now that Varajao has gone down but as I said, Mo, Jamison & Hickson are still playing and I would consider all three more more valuable than the guys they lost (other than LBJ).

And Gibson played just 19 minutes in 56 games last year and was pretty much out of the rotation by March. He's playing more this year out of necessity, not out of value.

My Bad, I forgot about Delontes troubles last season so ill cop that, and Jamison and Mo are there best players now so thats fair enough, but no way was Mo more important then Shag and Z IMO. As for Hickson, he played 20 mpg last season and is up at about 23 mpg this season avg 10ppg and 5rpg so i cannot see how he is that important to them.Gibson is playing about 30mpg this season, whether its out of neccessity or not is kinda irrelavent, the fact is this season he is a solid part of the rotation and now they have to replace his minutes somehow.

I just think your underestimating the effect that losing these other players has had and maybe overestimating LBJs greatness a little bit.

Miami owned for the second game in a row :( We win 21 from 22 and now two horrible performances. We are playing only to make the scoreline respectable heading late in to the third. A joke.

To be fair - no LeBron for this game. And it is the second night of a back to back, but I think we're seeing how bad this team would be without either LeBron or Wade. Down 27 with a quarter still to play.

Well I didn't want to make excuses, but... ;-) We have won this season minus Wade, minus James, we have looked second rate. Good comment re: James being a definite contender for NBA Defensive Player of The Year.

To be fair the rest of the roster sucks. LeBron just can not get injured post season if the Heat are to make a play for a title.

Isn't that a MVP type candidate? Just saying.

Time will tell. It was only a matter of time before we became LeBron's team and more one sided losses like this when he isn't on the floor (fresh on the back of a reminder as to how important he was to Cleveland in their humilating loss at the hands of Kobe) wiill back that claim.

Miami will bounce back.

To be fair Wade has only missed two games and Miami split those games.

Correct Andrew. Look I am not dissing D-Wade, he is my favourite Miami Heat player outside of Zo Mourning, though all I will say is that if it came down to one or the other (James or Wade), it's James who is the more likely to take us deeper in to the play-offs. Tonight made put an exclamation point on that from where I sit.

It's a coin flip, though making the call with my head despite knowing Wade has actually won a title (albeit with Shaq as his right hand man), James is our guy.

Watched the Spurs vs Mavs game yesterday (Spurs won comfortably) and it's just stunning to see how much Duncan's role on the team has changed/diminished, at least offensively.

He was almost a role player on offense. He barely posted up (even when he did he wasn't very effective) and was reduced to shooting long open jumpers and getting easy points set up for him by Parker and even Blair.

It's funny because in the boxscores for the game, he had 16 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks in only 24 mins, but it was nothing like the Duncan of old. He's still the defensive anchor of the team though.

Then again it's hard to critisize when the Spurs have the best record in the league. I do wonder if they can go deep into the playoffs playing this way though. They seem to at times play more up tempo than the old Spurs teams did.

He does deserve alot of credit for, at least for the time being, so willingly defer to Parker and Manu and put the team in their hands. As much as I love Kobe, that's one area I think he's going to struggle with as he gets older.

Duncan 29mins per game
Ginobili 31mins per game
Parker 33mins per game

Says it all imo. Its ridiculous how easy the Spurs are successfully coasting through the season. If they are healthy at the business end of the season I cant see anyone in the West beating them over 7 at this stage.

Very true Andrew. Spurs as per the norm slip under the radar and when it's all said and done, we wake up and see them at the business end looking every bit a NBA Championship winning team.

Our third loss in a row, James missed the Bulls game as well. Looking forward to seeing the team back at home.

This shows how great Lebron is, you take him out they will lose a lot of games but if he's there and you take out Wade or Bosh I reckon they would still be winning.

Clippers end Lakers win streak, trailing by 12 at one stage and win by 7, The Lakers had held Blake to 2 points and 5 boards until the end of the 3 quarter and 3 fould. He finished up with 18 and 15 and was ejected along with Baron, Odom and Artest. Odom grabbed Blakes jersey and swung him around and Baron stepped in along with Artest who only wanted to break it up, all 4 ejected with only seconds left.
The streak continues at 26 DD now but his 20/10 streak ends short. It was great beating the Heat but the Lakers is sweet.

Clips need to trade for Ben Wallace or some other tough hombre to protect Blake. Takes a couple of cheap shots every game.

Spurs have also played the 12th hardest schedule so far, with their opponents' winning percentage when not playing the Spurs being 0.514.

Contrast that to the other elite teams:
Lakers: 0.444 (easiest schedule in NBA)
Heat: 0.483 (6th easiest)
Celtics: 0.490 (9th easiest)
Magic: 0.495 (11th easiest)

Impressive stuff.

Lol Bosh. What a pussy

CHICAGO -- Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh left the United Center limping and upset Saturday night. Not so much at the pain in his left ankle as how it got there.

Bosh sprained the ankle in the Heat's 99-96 loss to the Bulls when Chicago rookie center Omer Asik fell on his leg chasing a loose ball at the end of the third quarter. Bosh was going after the rolling ball when Asik dove to the floor, collapsing Bosh's lower leg.

"C'mon, that is how guys get hurt, that is how serious injuries happen. You've got to watch people's legs. I know guys want to hustle and everything but we all want to play and provide for our families and have a job. We all want to be healthy and that is very important. If it is by somebody's leg, don't dive for the ball, it's too close."

Ridders thoughts of Fisher? Hes poor play is really costing the Lakers this season imo. Hes not good enough to start any more and I dont think Blake is good enough to run the team either.

I think the Lakers would really regret not getting Hinrich last off season.
