Also the Heat mauled the Celtics 100-77. First win against them this season. They now have the 2 seed in the East and are a game ahead of Boston.

Lakers lose their 5th straight.

In real danger of losing the No.2 seed. Dallas now have an identical record (55-25) and OKC are now only a game back.

Going to be an interesting end to the regular season!

I know we have lost 5 straight but i am not worried at all, last year we lost 7 of 10 heading into the playoffs, this team knows when to turn it on, well be fine.

I'll see you in the second round
So said Jameer Nelson to Derrick Rose just after the Bulls beat the Magic the other day.

Pretty confident from a player whose team was beat 3-1 during the season by the team they're facing in the first round. I expect the Magic to win, but with Hinrich and Jason Collins, we've got two players who can defend the two Magic players that gave us fits last year - Nelson & Howard - and at least make it interesting.

But if that doesn't provide motivation for a Hawks team that sorely needs it, nothing will.

I'd say the Hawks have a really good chance in that series. So do the Knicks to get over Boston, certainly no first round fodder anymore haha!

Heat confirm themselves as the 2 seed with a 98-90 win over the Hawks.

Celtics lost to the Wizards 94-95 in OT. What made it interesting was that Pierce, KG, Rondo and Ray Ray all sat out. Seems as though the Celtics aren't too fussed about facing the Knicks

It's not so much the losing that's worrying as much as it is the crazy possibility of the Lakers slipping to the 4th seed in the West.

Dallas won today as well, and are now a half game ahead of the Lakers (Lakers would tie it up if they win their next game).

Last year it didn't really matter because they had the No.1 seed all wrapped up and thus losses didn't hurt their seeding.

Thunder also won so are now only half a game behind the Lakers for third. Lakers play Spurs tomorrow and go to Sacramento day after, Thunder play Bucks at home to close out and Mavs play Hornets at home.

Hornets have slipped to 8th following today's loss, a result that would thrill the Spurs. No way they want any part of Memphis or Portland in the first round. Am sure they'd also prefer a Thunder / Nuggets 4/5 series.

Gotta say that all the lower seeds in the West, bar the Hornets, are pretty intimidating. I wouldn't be that surprised if either the Nuggets, Blazers or Grizzlies pulled of a first round upset.

Will be an interesting first round that's for sure.

That's going to be a fun series.

Andrew Bynum crumpled to the floor in a heap after taking a fall during Tuesday night’s Los Angeles Lakers game against the San Antonio Spurs. Bynum, who is already wearing a massive brace on his injured right knee, appeared to hyper-extend his knee while changing directions in the key on a San Antonio break. After going down awkwardly, Bynum stayed down, folding his arms across his knees and burying his head in disgust.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

In a game where Duncan, Ginobili & Parker were all rested no less - I know they still don't have the 2nd seed locked up, but judging by Phil's recent comments (along the lines of we're just waiting for the playoffs to start), don't know why they would play any of their stars.

Regardless of what Phil has said, everyone knows theres a big difference between playing Portland or Denver in the first round compared to Memphis.

I dunno. I think Memphis are going to be tough as well (even without Gay).

Could also be about having home court. I'd be pretty nervous if the Lakers met OKC at some point in a series with the Thunder having home court.
