The only proven coaches are at clubs, bellamy, Bennett, Flanagan etc. So you go the next best thing, a proven coach at the origin level and a guy with a strong reputation as an assistant.

That may be what's likely to happen. I've read one suggestion that the game against Parramatta on Thursday night could be Jarryd Hayne's last game.

I personally think the Titans would be better giving Hayne one last crack, and see what he can do with a focused offseason. Worst case scenario is his contract will come off the books at the end of 2018, and you won't be paying him to play at another club. Best case scenario Hayne recaptures some of his old form and leads the Titans to a top eight finish. Hayne playing in contract year, will be in his interests to put in the hard yards.

The experienced coach option (Geoff Toovey etc) may not be the way they are going to go forward.

Graham Annesley last night told the Gold Coast Bulletin that no decision had been made on Neil Henry. But the coverage has been so strong and adamant, that you would have to think that Henry is likely finished.
