If that were true why are a bunch the players allegedly "backing" Hayne?

Again, it's easy to blame the underperforming star, but Hayne doesn't make the rest of the side play like soft cocks. Seems to me the obvious answer here is that Henry has lost a group of the players, including Hayne, and Hayne is the easy target in the whole mess.

Realistically it's probably best for the Titans to move Henry on and then not renew Hayne when his deal is up. After all, he's not the sole issue, but he's still on a big deal that he's not living up to. Start fresh.
It could easily be a bunch of players 'backing' Henry(the ones he has shown faith in & gave a go looking over their shoulder at Hayne plodding it up).

No doubt Henry will get punted because the Titans board are now not wanting to look foolish in bringing Hayne on board. Not what should happen but will.

So Hayne sees off a coach only to f**k off to his next big dream at the end of his contract anyway and the Titans are back to square one with disillusioned fans, a shit squad and another shit coach (because what coach of any worth is gonna go to the GC to be pushed around by Hayne?).

f**k me the GC truly is where sport goes to die. The Commonwealth games are gonna be a disaster too.

A lot of the posts are overlooking that Ash Taylor is having differences with Neil Henry as well. You really think its in the Titans best interests to lose their best star for the sake of holding on to Henry? I agree that players shouldn't call the shots, but the team has been scored against them over 40 points in the last two games. The best call would be to pull the plug, and let Henry go.

Jarryd Hayne won't have much bargaining power next year. It's contract year and if he doesn't put in a good year, he will find himself looking to play on a contender for bargain basement price. If Hayne wants to remain in the NRL it would be in his interests to make it work with the Titans, because teams with cap space (Eels, Knights, and Dragons) all said they don't want a bar of him.

Some are blaming Hayne & some are blaming Henry.

Those blaming the coach, ask yourself, would you have Hayne at your club?

If the answer is no, you may wish to change your opinion.

I sure as hell don't want him at mine.

Doesn't say who said it.

Its been mentioned on local radio up here a couple of times that Taylor is not happy with Henry.

Its also been said that there are quite a few players fed up with Henry. Why I have no idea.

Hayne is a prat.

If they have to get rid of one (and Taylor's contract decision may swing on Henry leaving) then they have to roll the dice and sack Henry.

From a pure numbers perspective, its also cimplete common sense to part with $400k rather than $1.2 million.

If he does get sacked it could make the Parra game this weekend interesting.

I've heard that they will do it after the Parramatta game because it's too close to game day to do it. But that might change now because the news has been leaked.

So the NRL pretty much owns the joint, who do you think they want to get rid of? It aint rocket science. The Coach is goooone. Its cheaper for them. Hayne is an NRL pin up boy.
