Finch are a middle of the road hardcore band that sound like every other middle of the road hardcore/punk outfit on the market... ;-)

Mate i take offense at you labeling finch a hardcore band. Their nothing but a crappy emo rock group to me and one of the main reasons why crappy emo bands and fans are starting to invade the hardcore scene.

ballads of the new revolution - good riddance. awesome album from good riddance.

yeah man i've had that album for a while, fertile fields is an awesome song but my fav would have to be 'years from now'.

Have you heard the band 'break the silence' its ex 88 fingers louie guitarist dan precision new band. they sound like a cross between avenged sevenfold and rise against. I got the album a few months ago and havnt stopped listening since.

i know these ones are pretty old now, but I only just bought after the fall and One Dollar Short's latest, and Jarchives which is a Bodyjar best of.
All three are awesome cd's, which i should have bought much earlier. Jarchives would have to be the fave with some of their best work of the past ten years.

Special thanks to my Punk Music Advisor for convincing me to get back into this stuff!!

ohhhh and Finch's new cd.. That's gonna be magnificent. Anyone heard Finch.

I got 'what is is to burn' for free last year from work...perks of working in music retail. Didn't mind it...its good for a listen ocassionally. I'm far too hooked on the Black Keys at the moment.

Albums i've picked up recently:

Envy - A dead sinking story

Awesome band from japan. All you twig emo kids trying to get into hardcore throw away your crap finch, blood brothers
and from autumn to ashes cd's away and get this album. Original Emo/post-Hardcore at its finest.

North Side kings - Organizing Our Neighborhood

'Tough guy' Hardcore band that makes me wanna practice my windmills on a bunch of emo kids. Awesome album

Solstício-Larusso Split

got this for free as its one of my friends band from Brazil

Only Crime - To The Nines

This band features russ rankin from Good Riddance on vocals and the guitarist from Bane. I got it thinking it would be a combination of the 2 bands but found the album crap.

i love that album. got bill stevenson from black flag/all/descendents on drums aswell. i love everything about that album, russ's vocals match the hard and constant riffs and the fast as drumming. top shit in my opinion

i also scored betty by helmet. not their best album but its solid styuff from helmet.

and also on the back of some advice from Martyr i grabbed the break the silence album. and top shit it is. love the screaming vocals and then the melodic vocals. the contrats between the 2 is great. music is great aswell.

haha not a chance in hell Les! When I was at school I hate people like Justin, I was into the whole punk thing with a bit of Marilyn Manson, Korn etc thrown in. I was always paying out everyone else's music tastes and now I just like rpetty much everything. I was a bit out of touch though with the punk scene so I hired a Punk Music Advisor. So far he's doing a damn good job!

Melstar...you don't have to hire me...my advice is free. I suggest you try...

Social Distortion, Bad Brains, The Ramones, Black Flag, The Bellrays, The Suicide Machines, The Clash, Goldfinger, Rancid, Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits, Green Day, The Living End (not so much punk but I still have to suggest them...they are my fav band after all), The Reverend Hoton Heat, Nekromantix, Tiger Army, The hoororpops (those last 4 are on the psychobilly side of things but it is farkin' awesome), NoFx, Count The Stars, Thursday, Strike Anywhere, Poison The Well, Alkaline Trio, Rival Schools and Thrice.

No worrys dude 8)
Glad you liked the band.

Regarding Only Crime i was actually suprised Bill is still drumming after all these years and still sounds just as good. Everyone else that i know thats heard the band seems to like the cd as well. To me it sounds too much like Operation Phoenix which i didnt particualy like apart from a few songs.
