Cricket Australia is set to name the South African Mickey Arthur as the Australian team's new head coach at a media conference this afternoon.
The former Proteas mentor, who is presently in charge of Western Australia, has been considered among the two frontrunners for the past week.
It is understood he has been given the nod over the other lead candidate, Steve Rixon, who is on the Australian team staff as fielding coach.
