New Eels Jersey and NEW EELS Logo coming soon!!

Well I like the new one!! It brings back the old look eel that actually looks like an eel and it isnt as boring looking as the old one!!

I thought our colours are blue and gold. If you look at the Avatars there is not much blue.

Has anybody seen the logo other, than on a computer image and are the colours different, to what we are seeing here ?

I like its look. Starting to remind me of the Eel that took us to premierships instead of the one that has only got us part way there. A return to the past in the way of jersey and logo can be good........

cupid... I haven't forgotten the Spearing Eels Emblem that Parra first used.. I just haven't been able to locate a decent Image to either can or use...

twizzle... the colouring is only slightly more colourful than the logo in the image.. the blue seems to be more in line with the 2003 sevens jersey blue

this is true.... it does look like we are going back to the 80's especially with the colours they have used.

I think the new logo is a huge improvement over the current one, which looks more like a dodgy cartoon character (when they first brought it out, I thought they were joking). I like that the Eel is going back to the more realistic 86 one, and I like that if you turn it upside down, it's in the shape of an 'e'.

I really hope HJ is wrong about the colour being an even lighter blue. Bring back the dark blue.

pin-stripes - i'm not going to bag this idea. i actually think it's a good one

sari - i'm all for cultural diversity, but a sari wouldn't be practical on the footy field. not to mention i've never seen a guy in one

The legends jersey would suit how they play - ie didn't Easts flog 'em that night?

At the end of the day, who really gives a flying F**K! about the logo.

The only thing I am concerned about is whether we end up with more points on the field than the opposition.

The eel looks better, and I like how the picture becomes the important part, not the letters in the word.

So IMO better than the current one, but not better than the round one (tho that could just be the sentimental value from winning premierships?).

I think the round one came in about 79 or 80, as we had it all the way through our premiership wins. And I'm just old enough to remember the spear logo, which was good (for its time).

But back then so was the TV show Kingswood Country, and that wouldn't stand a chance these days!

PS. The Jersey should have stripes, no swirls and patterns and all this new-age designer garbage!

it looks like something out of the bloody 80's/early 90's. also go back to the 98-00 jersey with the stripes. thats pretty shifty doing it in an asica logo-it sucks that sponsors dictate everything. don't do a penrith and get some poofy ken dome design.

At first I didn't really think much of the new logo but I have to admit that it's growing on me now though. I don't mind it at all. The Eel looks alot more imposing on the new logo, similar to the one we had in the 80's which most people loved. Can't wait to see the new jersey. I'm all for the stripes making a comeback although I liked the 7's jerseys also so if it's anything like that i'll be happy too.

The Legends jersey rocked cos it got back to stripes, like our '00 jersey, still the best we've had by far...
but i had issues with white shorts... you need to be saints, with the dragons speedos on underneath to pull of white shorts, or you just end up looking like a touch judge! :shock:
