No. Victorians are passionate about AFL. We will earn our so-called title of "sporting capital" when the public learn to appreciate everything outside of chip chasing.
They do, the only thing they dont support is the Melbourne Storm, we love our league down here as seen by big crowds for SOO and Union gets huge crowds, Soccer does, what does that say about the Storm?

Crappy stadium. Thats my take on it. Over 13K and it gets rather uncomfortable.

SOO gets *a* good crowd, Union gets *a* good crowd too, soccer has no competition, but has pretty good support anyway.

10 years have taught me that, Victorians are passionate about only one sport. They're like Union people in NZ, only far worse.

Like most people, I think the new stadium will have an impact on the Storms crowds.

But to be fair, Vics. do turn up in big nos. to the various codes of footy and other sports. One e,g. Melbournians got the highest attendance for a non-final in the RWC as compared to nsw:D

i actually really enjoy footy at olympic park and dont see any reason to waste all the money on a new stadium, but it will be fun to see what they can come up with, but i hope they play one or 2 games still at olympic park each year!

guess your just another yuppie who'd rather watch a game with 15,000 people in a 100,000 seat stadium like anz stadium where u can barely make out what team has the ball, i on the other hand like old school rough and tumble ground like campbelltown and penrith and i really think olympic park had that sort of feel to it, have u ever watched a game at telstra dome? come talk to me when u have
