Once upon a time I ran The Bulls, I now just want to contribute to the F7's concept and play only as a player. If need be, I am happy to also volunteer my services as a ref if the needed.

I won't be a start every week player, more in the Dragons version of Gordan Tallis - impact off the bench

The Titans have a small core of very dedicated players who each put in a lot of articles every year.

In all honesty, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a team that needs a player more than the Cougars or the Dragons. (And good on you for wanting to go wherever you'd be most helpful for the competition! :thumn )

I point out that we are open to having new players join the Titans who want to play our style... whatever that is. Any players who would like to play with us please contact me.

Having said that, Broncdr01d has stated, in reply to my invitation, that he has a natural aversion to playing for the Titans on "cultural" grounds so we happily encourage him to join the Cougars or any other team for that matter deemed "more needy".

I edited that comment on the basis that it could be misconstrued, Tony.

The Titans (bar those playing 4 Nations) are currently on off-season holidays and will re-assemble once the new season comes around. How many that will be is in the lap of each player, just like any other team.

Ah that's good news, there are some very good writers in the Titans, always look forward to reading their articles.

Send out a dozen PMs Mick (and all skippers and potential skippers). This is the best time of year for new members joining the forums, and old members coming back from the off-season.

Just read threads and posts, there's a some real talent and gold in them thar hills.

You guys sound like the state the Warriors and the Eels found themselves in this time last year. We had to combine to form the Wheels to blood new players. Keep sending PMs to users - the worst that can happen is they say 'no'.

For anyone who doesn't know, you just go to the 'Members List' link. Click on the Join Date and then the little 'reverse order' icon - looks like this:

This will show you the most recent forum members.

Of course, they need to be introduced to the F7s. I'm not suggesting we swamp newbies with a PM assault, but just that we go out and approach new members.

The second approach is to seek out more established members that are growing into the forums. There is a strong representation here. FTR, this has been my preferred method for years now. It does require reading posts, but every now and then someone just pops out as being F7s material.

It's a handy resource that list current players as well as 'retired' players - some of whom are still regular posters on the forums.

Whatever method you use, just go for it. I'm sure we all know that waiting for them to come to you won't work.
