Meanwhile, Ipape, under contract until the end of 2025, has shot down speculation his eye-catching displays mean he could soon be on the move. NRL club St George Illawarra have reportedly shown an interest. Ipape said: “I know there’s talks I might go to other clubs but I’m happy I am where I am today. If it wasn’t for Leigh I wouldn’t be who I am today and I am very aware of that. So, to be in this position, and to just walk away from this club, I don’t think that would happen. I’m more happy and settled here and my family are happy so I’m definitely going to stay here.

If it was me being the billionaire, boy oh boy, our club would be sitting pretty and a stand out to attract good staff and players and rebuild and modernise all real assets. Every week there would be a promotion to get people to join up at little cost to them and be given merchandise so that all they need do is pay a nominal membership fee to register them as per rules and pay for attending the games.

What is tens of millions to a person who has thousands of them if you are a true die hard fan of the Dragons? Surely Bruce would love the accolades and know that he owns the best club in the world. Just show more interest you bastard.

Be careful. How do you know she is not knowledgable and has a strong business acumen which is part of what you need to run a football club. Something our BOD could not do on their own prior to WIN buying in, struggling for finances, begging the NRL for assistance and being in the red at the time. We are now supposedly as reported by Ryan Webb to be moving into the black
The football club operations and the long time rusted on BOD mainly linked to controlling or making decisions on their behalf with so called experience in the game..well that is what we should target to overhaul. We know who those are

$700k pa was rumoured till 2025 to go to the Cowboys and not sure if anything re the events leading up to May this year for Luc?

I feels like rumours are left right and centre right now knowing us Dragons are soft targets with no hope :)

Heard Flanagan talking about his recruitment plans on a 2GB interview online a few weeks back.
Said he will be talking to lots of players in the coming months, also saying he did speak with Luke Thompson.
Not surprised about any rumours like Sele and possibly Luciano wanting to come back.
Personally, hope we do not pursue Thompson, he is just too big a injury risk.
Luciano would add a lot more spark to our pack compared to BMM, Burns or Russell.

I wrote to the club about the blank faces in the player profiles that some of us have been complaining about. I got this reply today:

Thank you for contacting the St George Illawarra Dragons!

The player profile section of the website is not controlled by Dragons staff and is updated directly by the NRL. Due to the ongoing CBA dispute, the NRL is unable to upload headshots of our new signings as they do not have access/permissions to player imagery.


We understand that this can be quite frustrating and hopefully as discussions continue those permissions will be able to be granted.
