Imagine if he was the owner of a PL team or NBA NBL Baseball team
I think there was and probably still is an American family who owns the Manchester United Football Club and many of the MU fans have complained that they don't spend any money on the club and facilities nor do they attend any of the matches and never to be seen in front of fans so I guess Mr Bruce isn't on his own. All toothless and miserly as far as I am concerned.

If it was me being the billionaire, boy oh boy, our club would be sitting pretty and a stand out to attract good staff and players and rebuild and modernise all real assets. Every week there would be a promotion to get people to join up at little cost to them and be given merchandise so that all they need do is pay a nominal membership fee to register them as per rules and pay for attending the games.

What is tens of millions to a person who has thousands of them if you are a true die hard fan of the Dragons? Surely Bruce would love the accolades and know that he owns the best club in the world. Just show more interest you bastard.

We need Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds to buy the Dragons.

Probably a silly question but does anybody know how WIN makes any money from their investment in StGI and, if so, how much? Why do they even invest in the club?

As far as I know Bruce gordon, now in his mid90's spends most of his time in the Bahamas. I'd imagine it would be a bit hard to focus much mental energy on the day to day machinations of running a professional sporting club as well as a media empire from the verandah of your mansion watching the sun sink into the tropical ocean as you sip your third rum punch. Of course he probably leaves much of the spade work to his son Andrew who I believe is no longer on the board of the Dragons. Did you watch the TV series Succession?

Just my two cents but I don't think going hammer and tong trying to land marquee players is the best way to turn the club around. Looking at the Dogs and Tigers, who both landed some pretty big names in the off-season, haven't really turned their fortunes around with that approach to recruitment. Sure landing a superstars like Tino, Fifita or Hass would be amazing but I reckon it's the smart recruitment of middle-tier players that will bring sustained success. Guys like Sele, Mooney, and Fotuaika wouldn't leave us in another Ben Hunt situation with one player taking up a big chunk of the cap. Taking an approach similar to the Warriors by making some moderate signings who can then be taken to the next level by Flanno's coaching would be the way forward imo.

If only!!!

Yes, this is the sort of thing that I'd like to see from our owners. Ryan Reynolds, who is married to the lovely Blake Lively and both earning millions from business ventures and movies, puts his face to the fans of the club he has bought into. He as well as Rob McElhenney are proud as punch to be the co-owners of that Welsh club, Wrexham which has been promoted after winning the National football title.

Be proud and show your face Bruce or are you embarrassed to show your dial or just couldn't be bothered? It is about time you did you old fart!

We have the sister on the board now instead.

If you've seen the Welcome to Wrexham series, one of the best parts was when Rob and Ryan went to the pub next to the ground and met some of the hardcore fans (who of course wanted the manager sacked :)), listened to what they had to say, had a beer with them and got a sense of what the team meant to the fans.

Sadly it seems the Edwin Ipape rumour may not have legs. The gun PNG hooker who has led Leigh to 2nd place in the Superleague has hosed down speculation that he's going to leave

Meanwhile, Ipape, under contract until the end of 2025, has shot down speculation his eye-catching displays mean he could soon be on the move. NRL club St George Illawarra have reportedly shown an interest. Ipape said: “I know there’s talks I might go to other clubs but I’m happy I am where I am today. If it wasn’t for Leigh I wouldn’t be who I am today and I am very aware of that. So, to be in this position, and to just walk away from this club, I don’t think that would happen. I’m more happy and settled here and my family are happy so I’m definitely going to stay here.”

You are always going to get WIN representatives on the board due to the part ownership.
Our board will never be best person for the job as too many vested interests.
Looking up her profile though she seems to be the GM of WIN's 2 radio stations.
Well she would be well qualified in the selection of a new HC, how foolish of me to ask a stupid question :))

And what is her skillset with being on the board of the Dragons ?
Andrew and his sister Genevieve only want to be on the Board at the Dragons so that they can add it to their respective resumes. Other than that they have contributed zilch to enhance the club as a Leagues club. Genevieve probably thinks that a hooker is who her Dad sees from time to time to keep his man gland working!!:)
