That wa
Cobbo - 190cm, 99kg. Suaali - 196cm, 98kg. Sloan - 185cm, 84kg.

I'd say he's got a fair way to go.
He has, and that was my point, but not about size deficiency
it is about how hard they go at the game in defence and attack.
Young Jayden Campbell as a featherweight at a lower weight than Sloan also attacks the game hard
Sloan needs to do that. Ramsay is doing it as why he deserves his spot over Sloan

Yeah totally agree. Although I can't see him being of any value on the wing. He's too small. Defensively suspect, and limited return meters. He'll get bundled out over the sideline far too easily.

For me, he's either at fullback or he's not in the team. And at the moment, as you say, Ramsay is a far better option.

All the criticism re the Woods, Mybe, Moga, Burgess signings beggars the very simple question

If we didn’t sign them then who would have filled the vacant spots we had in the roster?

All well & good to criticise their form / playing ability or lack their of but in the end we had to fill 30 spots.

All this waxing lyrical about this one and that one and how we didn’t do this or do that the simple fact remains that we got what we got because that’s all we could entice to join our club.

I'm a frequent visitor to Commbank Stadium as my daughter works there. I'm always envious of the fantastic setup the Eels have with a new purpose built 30,000 seat stadium, some carparking on site and then the leaugues club about 100 metres walk from the entry to the stadium. The majority of the top teams have great stadiums...Roosters with new Alianz previously old Alianz, Melbourne with AAMI, Souths/Bulldogs with Accor, Cowboys with their new stadium, Broncos with Suncorp, Titans with their stadium....all these facilities government funded to a large extent.

I then look at the Tigers and Dragons...our playing grounds are from the dark ages with no prospect in the short/medium term of any upgrades....even without a centre of excellence which at least the Tigers have. I despair at how we will ever be able to compete again at the top level to attract players, sponsors, crowds etc etc. Imagine a player being offered a contract to play either at the Dragons or the Eels...and you look at the different setups in place...its a no brainer.

To make matters worse we have the most incompetent management of any club without any business or entrepreneurial acumen. We just will never be able to compete with other clubs...

Has it been confirmed that Jayden Sua is off to Dolphins or not ??
Things appeared to go quiet on that
I'm not saying there is absolutely nothing to the rumour, but it appears to be another overhyped and premature rumour from Triple M. Why would any team grant an "immediate release" to a player when there is only one more game to play, and the player is supposedly going to a team that isn't even playing yet? It makes no sense!

It was reported that he wanted a release on compassionate grounds, but we all know the real story, you have Bennett on one side and Griffen on the other, game over !!!

Very true OT. When players are on the outer at other clubs because they have reached their use by dates, they become the has beens and rejects. We "advertise - vacancies - players wanted" and there we are, all these hands are raised by these so called rejects saying "take me" and guys like Woods, Moga etc are with us, why not? They know we need players to fill quotas and know that we don't get the "best". It's anyone will do!!

We cannot attract anyone of any significance even if we had the money to do so in my opinion. Woods is laughing as his extension as been activated by playing a certain number of first grade games with us. He will go through the motions as usual next year.

...and why would the Dragons even allow it to happen? We need players of Su'a's qualities and abilities. We have "difficulty" luring players to the club (good, bad or indifferent) and if we were to give up on Su'a, that would be the biggest joke of all times. We have got to keep Su'a no ifs or buts.

All I can say twinkletoes in response to your post is that our management for some reason take one step at a time (very slowly I might add) to plan the future. It has taken them ages to "maybe" get financial help from the State Government to have the C of E completed in say 2-3 years time.

I cannot see the Kogarah Netstrata Grounds being totally knocked down and new facilities being built on the site. I think Council owns it? So in this case we should look at say the Sydney Cricket Ground as our "St George" grounds and have the WIN Stadium upgraded over a few years once the C of E project is completed. That's what I can only think of anyway, others here might have other reasons?

OT I don't know what's going on in this world but when our views are aligning something is definitely shifting in the universe.

Very valid points. And the fact we've bought pretty much all of them on bargain basement contracts gives us some breathing room - both in the recruitment space and cap management. Not only is it about enticing talent to the club, it's about who is available.

I mean one player that often gets brought up is Nicho Hynes. Yep, fantastic player. But currently 26. Who does he block? One of the halves or the fullback. All local juniors. So we end up losing one or more as a result. Webb has already stated their focus is on retention and juniors so bringing someone in to block their path makes little sense.

As I've stated ad nauseam, it's going to take time to clean up the mess that played out between 2010 and 2020.

If saints played the juniors instead of the has-beens (Moga, Woods, Maguire, McCullough) the results probably end the same as they did not bring anything but ill discipline, no hunger, injuries, suspensions, lack of speed etc. Saints would have filled the squad of 30 with up and comers like the Titans did and hope to benefit from next season. These has beens have just taken valuable experience to build on from these kids. Hook would have then had a very valid excuse if they finished outside the 8 being he gave the kids experience which we would have probably accepted more as fans as we hope to get benefit out of this. Now they have the has beens moving on and Saints juniors wanting out so OT it was a huge waste of a season really and it could have been rectified earlier but the dope insisted these has beens keep their spots. Hook more or less was adamant this squad will be top 8 and failed miserably. People say that nobody expected Saints to make the 8 but the coach and BOD did so that is a crap excuse for some to come out and say Saints over achieved especially when they filled their squad of all these "experienced" players.

Dragon David the cricket ground back in the 80s was the dragons home ground, Kogarah was deemed inappropriate to host footy anymore and the cricket ground was used, we shared it with the Swans/ South Melbourne when they left Melbourne. A lot has changed since then DD.👍

Slip, I agree we should be playing juniors where possible BUT it appears as though are reserve grade team is made up of a lot of jersey flegg kids who are just learning their skills .. We need better quality and seasoned players to help in the kids developments To me sticking point with the woods mbye etc is lengths of contracts . We used to have talent scouts everywhere and manage to nab some potential first graders somehow we have gone to grabbing onto anyone in order to fill the spots .. maybe we need more emphasis on KOE cup coach who can impart wisdom onto players . We also need to raid teams of players that cant break into a squad but come at a good price ( charlie stains but at a reduced rate ) instead of Moga and reubens . Our top 30 really drops away when you get past say top 17 .. lets hope our list manager is plugging the gaps
