Morris is better than Dugan at centre but he won't stop Inglis. I've seen reserve graders out run Josh

If NSW want impact off the bench then look no further than BJ Leilua.

At least he could actually play in the backrow.

The guy is the best centre in the game atm, if you don't count GI.

In attack, maybe

BJs defence is bloody awful though. He and Rapana got shown up multiple times today

Last yr when JT
Caught that kick ,took off downfield it was Pearce who run him down .
Morris was chasing but not catching .

& Jt is not all that quick .
Yet Morris took no ground off him .

6-8 yrs ago Morris would have caught him in 30-40 mtrs

Piss is actually really fast, remember when he ran down Inglis?

Jmoz is a good defensive centre but dugan would do a similar job there too and did in game 2 2014

they are both the most capable players in containing GI

the problem was always gonna be fergy, he's gotta make good decisions about when to come in and when to stay out, its actually a harder role then centre imo and Fergy doesn't look up to it

Doesn't matter, Morris is good with his positioning, Inglis needs space and Morris doesn't give him any.
Dugan is probably ok but I have noticed he's not nearly as good with positioning.

I'd give NSW the edge on getting the series back but I'm looking forward to seeing how Oates goes, who's marking him? Mansour?

big hit!

well, a winger is basically tied to the organisation inside him. he's the last man in the line so he's generally the one who will be noticeably outnumbered if the guys inside him don't shift, or if the attack overloads the side with numbers.

but yes, if he makes stupid decisions such as coming in on Inglis who is already covered by the defensive #2 & #3, then Oates will have a f**kin' field day.

Saddest thing about Jmoz's loss of pace is that he genuinely was in the top few in regards to pace up until injury screwed him around in 2014 after that 'heroic' (detrimental actually) play in origin.

I vividly remember him EASILY mowing Jennings down over 60-70 metres having given up a 10m + start. Also remember him catching Shaun Johnson after giving up 3-4 metres.

Never mind the fact that he was a long-range try scorer. In 2012 especially, he would have had 5 or so length of the field tries or just about.

While I'm not 100% happy with the team (Jackson and Cordner over Frizell and especially Wade Graham is a joke, but at least they didn't pick Beau Scott, also wtf Fergo? and WTMFF Walker?), I am very, very happy that we have finally picked a competent halves pairing. Bonus is we have a very skillful ball playing fullback as well. The only issue is two of those 3 players are on debut, and will be savaged by all and sundry if we get rolled. I just hope that Reynolds and Moylan are shown half the patience that Pearce has been and that we don't panic because they don't turn out to be match winning heroes on debut.

Reynolds should have been picked 2-3 years ago and have some experience under his belt by now. Maloney should have been the half retained from 2013 rather than Pearce. But what's been done has been done. At least the right decisions are starting to be made. It's only cost us a few more series defeats to finally get to this point.
